A catnapping to gain an inheritance and good music

Disney at its professional best pre-Pixar. The butler attempts to dispose of a family of cats in order to gain their inheritance of a wealthy estate. Like all of Disney’s best from the pre-Pixar period, the plot focuses on a romance and on action without realistic violence. It also includes several good musical numbers by the Sherman brothers. “Everyone Wants to be a Cat” with Scatman Crothers singing and playing the lead is outstanding. The movie is set in 1910 Paris, but the’“French” context shows only in little touches most of the time.

I bought this Blur Ray for my granddaughter for her 5th birthday! She had wanted to see it and I had told her it was one of my favorite movies! She loves it because she loves cats!

It is fun to watch old Disney movies. One neat thing I noticed this time around was familiar voices from other Disney movies from this era. Graphics are solid, story easy to follow. Hold up to even today. Blu ray sound holds up. Picture solid but for 60 year old movie not much one can do.

Overall, The AristoCats is a fun family movie. We introduced this movie to our daughter when she was five, and she immediately wanted a cat as her first pet. It's hard not warm-up to Marie and her kittens and, of course, the tomcat, O'Malley. An adventurous movie in the vein of Pinocchio, this is a must own Disney classic!

This movie is absolute classic. I originally had this on VHS and knew that I wanted it on blu-ray when I found out it existed. As you are watching this you would soon be singing the songs. Especially the one called everybody wants to be a cat. If you love the classic Disney movies about dogs, you will also love this movie.

We looked for this movie online and the website said that it was available at a certain store an hour away from where we live. When we got there they said that they didn't have it. We had to drive another hour to a store that did so don't trust the website availability. The movie is great and my daughter loves it.

My most favorite Disney movie since I was a kid. Saw this in the movie theater when it originally came out. Was very upset when Disney decided to take it off their streaming service so I purchased it for our collection in Blu-Ray

I had this on VHS many years ago and my daughter drove me crazy watching it when she was a toddler. She'd watch it over and over. Drove me crazy but she loved this movie. She's 11 now so I decided to buy it on DVD so she could watch it on her portable DVD player. I'm sure she's still going to love it.

Was looking for a movie my 4 year old could watch and not get too frightened by. He gets easily scared when there are villains in a movie or a darker story line. This movie got reviews for more of a bumbling butler than an outright bad guy. My son loves it and it still holds the test of time for old school animation.

An entertaining maybe 3rd period Disney film ( The periods according to me: the original classics, the silly live action Fred MacMurray/Dean Jones comedies, the imitations of THE JUNGLE BOOK - which is where the belongs, and the return to classic animation after THE LITTLE MERMAID.) This is generally appealing with a nice collection of characters, none too overly offensive. Recognizable voices are used, but they are not too obnoxiously here.

Great movie must have. This is such a great classic Disney movie. The songs are fantastic. "Bell A Note" is just the best. The animation is spectacular. They just do not make great animated films like this anymore. I grew up with this film and love to share it with my own children now. You will too !

A great classic movie to watch with your children for a family movie night. Better than a lot of the movies on the market today for children. Can't beat the old classic movies. Would recommend this movie. My family really enjoyed it.

Even though everybody wants to be a cat, the Aristocats is probably a lesser-known Disney film, but it has a lot of charm and some great voice work that you'll definitely recognize. The best part of this disc though are the special features that feature Richard Sherman of the Sherman Brothers discussing the songs they wrote for this movie and how several of them were cut. It is very interesting for any fan of Disney music! Overall this is a nice package, but it would have been nice if it came with a Digital Copy as well.

Disney movies removed from the "vault" and re-released on blu-ray. These movies contain "Disney Movies Anywhere" codes, so that you can stream them with an attached Amazon or Google account. Very convenient if you have a smart TV or console that allows you to link to an Amazon account.

I highly suggest this Disney classic, especially for children who love animals. It's a great story and the animation looks amazing on Blu-ray! It's totally worth the price, which has gone down significantly since the movie was first released in this format. You can't go wrong with Aristocats.

This is a classic Disney movie. I'm a new parent to my one year old son. I'm collecting the Disney Blu-ray + DVDs for him, but I didn't think he'd enjoy the cats until he got older. Well, I was wrong I played it for him on Netflix, he loved it. He loves the music, so I had to get it!

Perhaps the greatest testament to the timelessness of Disney is that our children don't make the distinctions of favoritism that one would expect between what was released last year and what was released decades ago. 'The Aristocats' passes this test -- recommended.

The fun-loving cats of this story are a cuddly and cute counterpart to 101 dalmations. If you love the hi-jinks of pongo and perdita's pups, this trio of kittens will keep your kids entertained time and again. With memorable songs and hilarious scenes, this is a Disney must-have!
