As a big fan of the band, I hoped for more. Two discs of overly complex, often rambling, material. It is great for die hard fans, but a tough road for the casual listener.

i didn't think they would continue at the level they were before Portnoy left, but they have certainly made the valiant effort to prove that Portnoy didn't make the band.

Another wonderful CD. Continues in the long line of great recordings by Dream Theater.

Not their best LP but there is a lot of it. Some of the songs rock and some are listenable. Listen a couple times and it grows on you. Melodic and well mixed as always.

Great album .....would like to see more of their music on your shelves

I'm a huge DT fan, but even I have to admit this was a bit of a stretch for me to swallow. There's a handful of songs on this album (Gift of Music, Our New World come to mind) that will be fan favorites, but a lot of this album is non-descript in terms of memorability. If you're a fan, you're going to pick this up anyway and enjoy it. (It's great live, by the way.) If you're not a fan, this won't sway you unless you're a big fan of rock operas.
