Batman films have come a long way from the campy hilarity of the 1960s and Tim Burton's reintroduction later. This reboot installment brings the darkest cinematic Batman yet. The excellent Christopher Nolan trilogy showed superheroes and Batman in particular could be fare for more serious movies and this first film in a new series moves further into the dark. The result is complex and gripping suspense. The film is definitely on the long side at around 3 hours though.

I was cautious when deciding to watch this film. Being an avid Batman fan, I have seen them all come and go, so I took this film with a grain of salt, at the beginning, by the end, I was most impressed with the performances by everyone. It's a different take on the world of Batman, but an interesting one and one I look forward to, for a sequel. Robert Pattinson didn't disappoint, neither did Zoey Kravitz, Andy Serkis and the rest. A most excellent casting and an engaging storyline.

In my opinion the best Batman movie yet. Don't get me wrong loved the Dark Knight, but I just feeling this movie more.

Good, but not as great as the previous Batman Movies with Michael Keaton or Christian Bale!

It's hard to imagine certain people as Bruce Wayne / The Batman. You have people like Adam West, Michael Keaton, and Chris from Nolan. Robert Pattinson most might remember from vampire movies. To me he is absolutely the wrong choice for this movie The kid can't act the kid does not know how to express himself and the movie itself is just to me wrong. To think that Bruce Wayne's father Thomas Wayne could be corrupt as to go to somebody like falcone for a situation is absolutely dead wrong. Anybody who knows Andy Serkus no sense for playing roles like Ulysses Claws in Black Panther, or better yet the voice of smeagol in the Lord of the rings. There's some good actors in this movie but all in all I have to say the movie is average at best. The storyline is just awful The acting is very well done The action is really good That's the only thing that makes this movie average otherwise I would not recommend this movie to anybody but that's just my personal opinion. I own the dark Knight series I own the first Batman with Michael Keaton and Batman returns with Michael Keaton it's hard to compare certain movies with others but this movie is just average maybe just a little below average at best.

This film has a Se7en quality to it. Riddler is a formidable serial killer and Batman gets to show equally impressive detective skills ...and fighting skills ....and driving skills ....and cooking skills ...not cooking skills - I wuz just checkin' to see if you were payin' attention.

The Batman 2022 is not just another Batman or superhero film. It's a film worth watching several times and respects it's audience, fans, and source material. This film is just as good or possibly better than the dark knight trilogy, but that depends on your own opinion. Anyways the both Blu-ray and DVD format included never fail to impress and the bonus features are always a great addition.

"The Batman" is a nice take on the Batman franchise. Recommended.

This is a great movie. A long sit through but worth it if you have a good setup

It's hard to compare this Batman movie to all the other Batman movies. But I think we can all say that Michael Keaton was the best Batman and was thrilled that he is going to reprise his role in the new Flash movie. This Batman was different and more brutal than the others. Still a good movie which I recommend.

I just submitted a review for the dumpster fire known as Morbius (hated it)! But unlike that film, this one I really, REALLY enjoyed! For some reason when DC does a stand alone apart from the DCEU, they are better (i.e. Joker). Prior to this Batman film, The Dark Knight was my favorite film of the Batman films; now it's my 2nd favorite! The special features are worth watching too!

Good quality audio/video with full surround track. Includes streamed digital copy. Initially did not appreciate this take on Batman. After watching a handful of times and picking up the story lines, appreciated it much more. This is a dark take on Batman. Watching this with a full good sub really brings out the suspense and dark character of this take.
