The Beatles in Mono and The Beatles Original Studio Recordings aka The Beatles Stereo Box Set are the best. It is bigger, better, louder, and remastered than the original 1988 Beatles box set ever. I bought two copies of the Beatles Stereo and Mono box sets. It is like you are listening to a brand new Beatles albums...Again! I love the Beatles, oh yes I do. YEAH, YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!

Despite all the discussion about which version of what song sounds best in mono or stereo this is the way the Beatles and George Martin intended their songs to be heard and they sound absolutely fantastic. Forget all the yammering about which version of which song was 15 seconds shorter or longer. It doesn't matter. This IS the Beatles in all their glory, beautifully remastered and delivered in a wonderful package of faithfully reproduced album covers and liners. One piece of advice. If you intend to rip these to your hard drive or cloud storage use lossless conversion. I could not believe how anemic my mp3 versions of these albums sounded when played against the discs,

Want to relive the Beatles as their recordings were released? this is it. I have the first release of the Beatles remixed songs and it is excellent. This issue takes it up a notch. If you are fortunate buy them both.

I listened to the first cd, Please Please Me yesterday. The music sounds great. I looked at all of the cd's and noticed the album covers are all darker than the stereo covers. Has anybody else noticed this? If it is intentional, I will not complain. I noticed it right away and thought something was wrong.

YEAH, YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!!! In addition of having two of the Beatles Stereo Box Set, I finally have the Beatles in Mono. Also, I bought a freww Beatles Group Picture Tote Bag. Both the Beatles Stereo Box Set and the Beatles in Mono are now two of my favorite Beatles CD albums or collection box sets. The differences between the Beatles Stereo Box Set and the Beatles in Mono are the excellent sound quality. I don't know much about the mono version. After listening to the mono version, it sounded quite different than the stereo version. I love it anyway. It is bigger, better, cleaner, clearer, sharper, and louder than the 1988 Beatles box set. Brilliantly remastered, repackaged and reproduced in fab restoration. It just like you are listening to a brand new Beatles albums (again).

I was one of the fortunate souls who grabbed this on release date. The collection features every orginal mono mastered track from the Beatles career. While I prefer many of the stereo records, this collection presents the early Beatle material in a more natural mix. There are a few complaints with some of the mastering and I'm sure this has to do with the original 60's mixes. Certain recordings do not have the clarity of their stereo versions (the title track of Please Please Me for example sounds muffled in comparison to it's stereo release) and the bass suffers a bit compaired to the stereo remastered collection. These complaints are so minor however and I'm sure will not distract anyone who truly loves this music. I have the original vinyl releases and to see this collection faithfully recreate the same artwork design is brilliant.

I received this boxed set as a Christmas present and I am very happy with it. The attention to detail on the album covers, and the other material that is included. I have both Beatles boxed sets, but out of the two, this is the one I would highly recommend getting.
