Always enjoy having the opportunity to watch a movie that is good family enjoyment. I prefer to have videos at the house for the visiting children, be they family or friend off-spring, but I also enjoy watching them myself. Also has a story-line that allows for discussion between those viewing . What a wonderful world this could be if we all took this movie to heart.

Movie is great. Vibrant. Entertaining. My preorder experience with BB this time was not so great. Preordered this and Pete's Dragon long before release at $27.99 each. Typically I don't mind paying a bit more when I receive the movies early. Because of the holiday, I ended up receiving the movies a day after release and at $5/movie more than the release day price. Of course, Best Buy has removed all ways of online communication so my only way to speak to a service rep is to sit on hold for an hour. No thanks. I'll just stop preordering from BB and go to whichever retailer is closest to me with the lowest price on release day. I pass both Walmart and Target on the way to BB so chances are they'll get my business in the future.

My wife raved about this movie for weeks after seeing it with the granddaughters. The only place I could find it in town was Best Buy. Picked it up with the intentions of it being a X-mas gift. When she started again about how great it was I had to give it to her. She floated for the next two days. I am a hero thanks to Best Buy.

We have several versions of BFG and always enjoy a new version. This new adaptation is very good. The special features proved as interesting as the feature. The CG effects are great and the special features on their creation most informative and entertaining. We enjoyed this movie and know we will watch many times in the future.

Great story, very imaginative! My wife and I enjoyed this movie a lot. If Hollywood or any other studios around the world think they are running out of stories, they should take a look at this movie and see what can be done, when you have creative writers. I'm sure there are plenty of book that can be made into movies.

BFF was a great family movie for a great price. I had my grandson and my nieces and a nephew over. At first the movie didn't have there attention but a minute or two into the movie and it was all eyes on the movie including mines. The movie was a wonderful, family/children watcher from beginning to the end. Like i said it was a great family movie.

Each time I think special effects and animation can't get any better, a movie comes along and surpasses what was achieved before. If you think Gollum, from the "Lord of the Rings", was believable, wait till you see the giant in this movie. Already recommended this movie to a number of friends.

This movie is heavy on special effects and fantasy. If you like movies like Jack and the Beanstalk, and similar themes, where there are giants and huge creatures, you'll probably like this film as well. The effects are so real, that its hard to tell where the real scenes begin and the fake ones end.

Every now and then there comes a movie that is an incredible delight to watch over and over - getting more out of it each time. This is one!!! The animation is amazing, and it's difficult to totally remember who is animated and who isn't! It's imagination brought to life in a remarkable way.

BFG is a really good movie. I like the characters. When I seen the previews I did not want to see this movie. Thought it would be whack, but I actually ended up liking it a lot. Its funny, whimsical and entertaining. I'm glad I rented it once and now own it .

Spielberg and Disney team up to present a Roald Dahl classic tale filled with wonder and magic concerning a little girl and her adventure with a Big Friendly Giant. A very different but fun approach to another classic (Jack and the Beanstalk) that will capture the imagination of the whole family, although it is rated PG for some scary moments.

The classic story from Roald Dahl comes to life on the screen. The imagery is amazing and the story keeps audiences young and old engaged. My young sons all loved it. The end got to be a little over the top for my liking, but overall it was a great movie and well worth the purchase.

Nice adaptation of the book,(which I would encourage everyone to read, always start with the book). Roald Dahl is fantastic, but he can be a little dark. There is also an animated version of this story, dated, but much closer to the novel, without the Disneyization.

Steven Spielberg is a genius and has brought us a masterpiece in this thoroughly enjoyable film. Lovely story was written by Roald Dahl and brought to life through the magic of digital photography that was amazingly realistic. I enjoyed every minute.

Kids and adults of all ages will love this movie. With Spielberg directing you never go wrong. A must have. So much details and wonderful creation of characters and worlds , Watch it once for the story and again right away for the amazing details.

What's not to like about a Roald Dahl story? From the writer of "James And The Peach" and "Charlie And The Chocolate Factory (Willy Wonka)" comes this story. A mix of animation and live action, this movie is an instant classic. Grab your kids and the popcorn and enjoy!

This was a wonderful movie full of fantastic images. Some not so nice giants & one big friendly giant. One small girl in an orphanage who wants a family. BFG becomes her family for a while. They decide something must be done about the not so nice giants.

This was an exceptionally well told tale. With characteristic Disney magic and wonderful characters this well scripted take on Dahl's novel was a delight in every way. The Big Friendly Giant was such a great character as was the girl, Sophie. For everyone.

We love the movie BFG! Truthfully we didn't go see it at the theater as we hadn't heard much about it, when we rented it the first time.... LOVED it and new we needed to add it to our movie collection... great unique family movie! A must see...
