This film is a great family film directed by Steven Spielberg and screenwriter Melissa Mathison (E.T screenwriter) who passed away shortly before the release of this film. The bluray looks great and is a great addition to any Disney collection

When my kids first seen this trailer on tv they were actually scared to see it but after watching the trailers over time they ended up wanting to see it talk about the work of watching tv. Anyhow they ended up liking but not as much as I thought they would so it was okay but a good watch

Some of the more recent animated films that have been coming out (think Zootopia, Secret Life of Pets) have been falling short on the story line. BFG does not. Fun story, great animation. We've watched it several times! Highly Recommend!

Steven Spielberg returns to children with this adaptation of a Roahl Dahl book. While not as memorable as other movies of a similar nature, it is still very entertaining in its own right. Great A/V quality and extras that are decent (but not enough for Spielberg in my opinion).

I don't think it is possible for Spielberg to make a bad film. While this is not a masterpiece this movie is quite good, has amazing visuals, and a great message for children. The picture and extras are always great from Disney of course. I recommend giving this movie a chance!

I purchased this for my son, after his interest was sparked by reading the book in his classroom. Our whole family has really enjoyed this movie, and would recommend it to others looking for a delightful evening of enjoyment !

I have four kids ages 13,10, 5, and a newborn! It's hard to find a movie we can all enjoy and that's appropriate for a 5 year old and still enjoyable for a teen. This movie was it! It also encouraged my kids to read the book!

After reading this book as a child, I had many fond memories of the story and knowing that my brother and friends had also experienced the book we were all excited for the movie. One of the better book adaptations of the day.

I’ve been wanting to see this for sometime now. Finally got to watch it at home with the wife. We really enjoyed it. Fun characters, good storyline, great graphics! Stephen Spielberg does it again! Could easily watch it again. Enjoyable extras at the end.

One of my families favorite Friday night go-to movies! It’s entertaining, humorous and witty! My 1 yo, 5 yo and wife all enjoy watching it for the *ahem-14th time. I’m sure it’ll become a “staple”

The marketing of this movie was off or maybe it just couldn't compete versus the competition at the box office during it's theatrical run...it just didn't resonate with theater goers...but this is a great family movie.

One of my favorite books as a kid is finally made into a film by one of my favorite directors, Steven Spielberg. This film was amazing. The best CGI ever seen to create the world of giants. Thank you, Mr. Spielberg.

I would give it a 5 star but it does have some questionable scenes. There’s a few drunk guys, some human eating giants and reference to someone being naked in a couple dreams...for those of you who are really cautious about stuff like that.

I was lucky enough to attend the official premiere of this movie in LA, so the movie was already very special to me and my family. Overall, it was definitely worth watching. I also bought this at a great price.

I saw this thyou first time on the big screen with my oldest granddaughter... We both then said we should buy it .... So we did! We have watched it twice sinc purchasing it and will for sure keep watching it.

My husband and I saw this at the movies first and then decided to add it to our blu ray collection. Small children have a hard time following the story but love the part with the green soda. Very funny movie.

This is a great movie for the entire family to watch. Stays pretty true to the story and thoughtfully leaves out the graphic details described in the book. I would like to have seen this movie made available in the 4K format, it's great visuals deserves it.

Great movie for both children and adults. I do recommend reading the book first as there are several differences and things missing. Well adapted to more modern time. My children watched it over and over.

This movie was a heart warming story of a young girl and a giant, who she befriends. It had a good plot and excellent acting, both real and animated. It was also visually appealing. I would highly recommend this to anyone, young or old.
