My kids read the books and were very intrigued to watch the movie. It's a surprisingly entertaining movie for the whole family. Another children's adaptation almost to the level of the classic ET.

If you like the idea of Disney meets Spielberg, this is literally it! Based on the Roald Dahl story, it's fantasy fun with a few messages. The CGI is stellar, using MoCap technology.

Our grandson was all smiley faces as we watched this movie with him. A great investment for the grandchildren or children in your life. We are all children at heart, so we enjoyed the movie also!

This a great movie. It really touches the heart as you watch this movie. For me, it was totally different from the Giant fairy tales that I grew up with. I would definitely recommend this movie.

The BFG book is a favorite of my boys and we were excited when the movie came out. It was well done and a pleasure to watch. The end is altered a bit with a gentler demise for the giants.

The BFG was one of my childhood favorites, and this movie encompasses the story very well. A little scary for younger kids, but a great story that will enthrall both children and adults alike.

My wife wanted to see this film so I took her. Expecting to be bored, I was pleasantly surprised. When the DVD came out I was quick to pick it up for her. Big kids will enjoy this too.

It was an enjoyable movie for kids and adults alike. When Sophie gets taken by a Giant, turns out he is friendlier than his fellow Giants who makes him look like the size of Sophie. Your not always the biggest fish in the pond it seems.

We saw this at the theatre with family and everyone enjoyed it . Terrific effects and animation with a magical story.Purchased the combo pack and watched it again the first night we owned it.

My kids absolutely loved this movie. At first glance we didn’t think this would be a good movie but we gave it a chance & turned out to be one of their favorite movies.

Big-screen version of the Dahl story, with the usual over-the-top Spielbergisms, but overall very funny and nicely animated. Not quite as good as the earlier, lower budget version, though.

The image quality of the film is wonderful. Colors are very good as are picture quality and detail. A very good story with a few surprises, some should make you laugh. Perhaps, it will make you think about the meaning of the word BIG!

purchased this dvd for my grandsons for Christmas, my wife and I viewed it before giving as a gift was a great film, so many special effects and a very good story line and a funny movie

This is a fun family movie! There are several intense parts for parents should preview to make sure it is appropriate for your family. It is a movie kids and adults can enjoy.

This was my wife's favourite book growing up and so of course had to see it when it came out. She loved it and it's very true to the book. The Scene with the queen steals the show!

Great movie! I must admit I watched the movie first then read the book. Read the book first, you'll notice a few differences that in the end seem different yet the same some how.

BFG was typical Steven Spielberg, wonderful color and sound. John Williams score sounds so delightful. The story is warm and friendly, great family entertainment. It also has a moral to the story. Recommended family viewing.
