I bought this game so that I can get back into shape after my knee surgery. I had gained a lot of weight with my bad knee. Im talking 50-60 pounds. Now that my knee is back to normal I have been using the game everyday this pass week and I love it! The first day allows you to see how fit you are and proceeds to tell you where you need work. It customizes different routines that you can choose from on a daily basis with one rest day and one weigh in day. It also tells you how many calories you are allowed to eat per day and I was suprised to see how off I was on how many I can eat per day. The calories change per day by a few depending on your work out for the day. My average calories burnt per day are usually around 230 with moderate excerise for only a half hour. Between each section you have about 30 seconds to grab a drink of water. You can choose if you want a total body work out, legs, arms, core etc. You can also pick Bob or Jillian or both. There are options to do more excersizes like boxing and others. Although this is only my first week with the game, I see good results coming in my furute. Week one is a little hard to get used to having to work out everyday if you arent used to it like me but, today, I was actually looking forward to it. Week one down, many to go but I am 4 pounds lighter :)

Could use some improvement..good for beginners

I recently bought the Wii because I was getting bored with other ways of exercising. This was my first workout game besides the Wii fit. I have been doing it now for 2 and a half weeks. Overall, I would say this is definately for beginners. I have three bad things about this routine. As some of the other reviews have mentioned there is a waiting period between exercises and the rest (of course) I noticed that my heart rate was not staying up and I wasn't even breaking a sweat. And I was on the 30 min moderate routine. Number two is the cuing. The cuing is horrible, sometimes repeats the same thing three times in a row, and really no technique is talked about what so ever. And the last bad thing about is, which is mentioned a lot in the other reviews, the sensors dont seem to pick up a lot of the time. I can do butt kicks and swing the remote around and still get nothing. Other times I have to swing harder than the trainer on the screen is doing for it to sensor anything. I use this for normal games as well so it isn't the sensor not picking it because it does fine in other games. I also dont like that you dont get to pick your rest days when you want them. The Pros are: if you are coming back from a exercise hiatus this might be a good choice because it eases you back into it all. It is very organized and overall not too bad of a program. However, I am going to give it a full month and most likely move on to another game such as Active 2.

I bought this game when it was on sale for $20 after Christmas. The beginning of it is great because it has you do a variety of exercises and based on how you perform, it creates a workout for you. You can put in your measurements (chest, waist, hips, etc) and it will include that information as well into your targeted workout. You can choose how long you want to work out for (less than 20 minutes, 30 min, 1 hr, etc) and if you are feeling up for it, they have some fun games as well. The workouts are fun because they keep changing but are hard enough to really make you work up a sweat! Just a side note, you may want to wear workout bottoms with pockets as there are many times where you have to put the Wii remote in your right pocket!

I really like this! I feel like I get a good work out in, heart rate is going and sweat like crazy! It gives you a variety of workouts and plans it out weekly after you do perfornance "tests". It'll plan your workout according to how you do. You can track your daily calories. There is a progress bar on the lower left of the screen that tells you how well you are performing. The only part I don't care for is it alternates every other exercise without the board. With, then without, with then without. I'd like to have a couple with the board then a couple without. I use this game along with my other Biggest Loser workout dvd's. Lost 50#'s with the dvd's alone almost 2 years ago, now looking for a different way to work on the next 25-40#'s. This added to my other workouts should help!

I think it's a good way to start getting motivated about exercise. The challenges are fun to do with someone. It made me realize how out of shape I am. I went this route to see if I would use it before I got into the more expensive active games.

I bought this game after my original Biggest Loser game broke, I really like this game, it has more exercises then the original and I am getting a decent workout . The only thing I dont like is it gives you the option to get a drink several times within a 30 min Challenging workout but doesnt give you the option to bypass it so you have about a 30-45 secs of downtime.

I am 50 yrs old and in my 2nd week and still going strong. I started on the moderate level with Bob, 20 minutes/day (actually works out to 23 to 25 min.); Plan to move up in my 3rd week. I have never counted calories before so I am learning alot and with the program work outs, I lost 3 lbs the first week. This week I am trying to add more extra excercise time for hopefully a better weigh-in this week. Weigh-ins are just like on TV, lol. The tips and recipes are also a big plus.

We have only had the game for one day, and it is great! I would recommend this to someone who is wanting to work out, or just wants a great game to have. This really does make you work out, and gives you different things to pick from ..

I have been working out with this game for a week , 20 minutes workout a day and I already lost 5 pounds , of course no soda , no candies , no chocolates and since I'm Mexican absolutelly no tacos . Great rutines for someone that don't have time to go to the gym ( or too lazy like me :-) )

i asked for a wii for christmas so i could get this game to work out with, save your money and just buy the workout for regular dvd, you dont need a wii. You can just stand still and the game thinks you are working out, it doesnt recognize the controller or what you do.
