A more than decent remake of La Cage Aux Folles!!!

The Birdcage is one of the funniest movies ever made; outside of the classic Marx Brothers movies, it's rare to find a comedy where all of the main characters jockey successfully for the title of Biggest Scene-Stealer. The Blu-ray, however, is so disappointing - we get a trailer and little else.

Good movie for the genre, wish the ending was more detailed.

With all due respect to the memory of Robin Williams: If you haven't seen La Cage aux Folles, but it instead. If you have seen La Cage aux Folles, you've already seen a better movie.

No bonus features at all. If you want just the movie, then this disk is for you.

One of Robin William's bad movies. I thought it would have these great one liners or great physical comedy but it was just filled with awkward situations and weird humor.

I have no intentions of watching this movie. The wife likes it.

This movie will appeal to even those who don't normally watch movies of this genre. There are quite a few scenes throughout the movie that I almost lost my soda through my nose! And whenever it's on TV, I HAVE to watch it - even with the TV editing. I have been a long time fan of Robin Williams but the entire ensemble of cast members is a fantastic mix! To see Gene Hackman in drag is great! He really makes a convincing woman! The physical comedy is great but the lines that me and my friends have stolen from the movie are priceless! "I pierced the toast" will remain a favorite whenever we think life has handed us a bad day.

I have quite the movie collection. When watching some of those movies, I end up falling asleep, but not with this one. I first bought this back in 1996 and still watch it till this day. Needless to say, I was excited to learn that it has been released on Blu-Ray. The Colors are more vibrant, and audio Is decent. Since this is a high definition movie, I thought they would have used DTS-HD Master Audio/ Essential for the audio. Dolby Digital 5.1 is so DVD-ish, not to mention 5.1. Why aren't there more 7.1 and 8.1 movies on the shelves?????
