Just a okay movie with not al ot of action going on.

the movie follows the book, which was a great read, very closely and is well done. The Jeffrey Rush is fantastic along with everyone else. The story is heartwarming, sad, funny and entertaining all at the same time. This is a must have for your DVD library.

I watched this movie with my 12 year old son, 50ish husband, and my 70ish parents. We ALL thoroughly enjoyed this movie! I'm one of those people that usually falls asleep during a movie. Sorry, I just do. This movie was such a great movie on every level!

I brought this movie for a friend as a gift. Who likes this film. This film is based on a novel. About a girl who transforms the lives of those around her during world war II. On this dvd the special features only has deleted scenes.

I really enjoy this movie. I thought the movie making was done extremely well. The actors were terrific as well (yes even the young stars), Jeffery Rush was, well they just don't get any better!!! This is a good addition to the movie collection.

I first saw this movie after I checked it out at the library, and I enjoyed it so much that I purchased it from Best Buy. I haven't read the book, so I don't know how much it keeps in line with the book. However, the film was inspirational, and it was filled with courage, love, perseverance, and hope.

This is a slower moving movie but it is definitely worth watching! It has an amazing cast, especially with Geoffrey Rush. If you have a free weekend I suggest you take a day to watch this heart warming movie that will will you over!!

I saw this in the theater and knew immediately that I would want to own it. And Best Buy puts their movies on sale sometimes at such GREAT prices, that I was able to buy two movies the day that I finally got The Book Thief.

This movie is very moving about the love and determination of a little girl to achieve her dream of being able to read. It also drives home a very anti-war message along with a strong condemnation of anti Semitism.

I had never heard of this movie before, but was interested because of the WWII era. We really enjoyed this movie. We actually went back and bought every copy you had left because we wanted to share this with friends and family.

This story is so well told by an unexpected character and we did not want it to end. Our children had read the book and wanted to see the movie so when we saw it at Best Buy with a great price it was an easy purchase!

Great acting, a total tear jerker, with a young girl's perspective of atrocities of WWII The worst and the best of those horrible war years is portrayed showing how a young girl coped everyday problems in a small village!

I read the book first and have been told that books are always better than the movie, but I liked the book so much that I wanted to see the movie, so I bought it and have watched more than once.

The Book Thief is about a young girl orphaned and taken into the home of her best and dearest friend even when his wife sees the girl as trouble. World War II story centered around the London bombings.

I got this movie after reading the book. As with most books turned into movies, the book is better as it is more detailed. However, I thought the movie was also wonderful. Sad story of course, but a wonderful movie.

One of the more emotionally compelling films I have watched in a long time. I don't believe it's based on a true story, but it certainly is a plausible plot set in WWII times. Perfect "Date Night" viewing.

This movie takes a good book and lets us view the sad horrors of war but the wonderful spirit of those who lived through and survived as well as those who lost their lives. Some wonderful character studies throughout t he film.

Got a great deal on this movie and it was awesome! Heard wonderful things about it and was pleased when I saw it. A tear-jerker for sure, but also an incredible depiction of a difficult time in history. Go out and buy this movie! Thanks Best Buy - Customer Service was on point!
