Packaging is great, the 4K is crisp with HDR also really bringing this movie to life.

As soon as I saw Joss Whedon's name in the opening credits, I knew something was up. The creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly is the writer of The Cabin in the Woods, and it definitely shows. It starts out with the horror cliche of a group of teenagers going out to a remote cabin in the woods (ding!) and it almost seems like a bad rip-off of every horror movie ever until it completely flips the tables on you. I don't want to spoil how amazing this movie is, but I would strongly recommend going into it knowing as little as possible for the best experience. As a horror fan, it's hilarious to see how the movie pokes fun at all of the cliches of the genre, and I can honestly say it is one of the most refreshingly fun movies I've seen in a long time. Don't pass this one up.

This is one of the best horror comedies of all time and one of my favorite movies personally. Its a classic. Not to mention this steelbook is my favorite one that I own. Its detailed and its obvious a lot of thought went into the design of the steelbook. Seeing it in person really made me love it. I would definitely recommend.

The Cabin in the Woods is one of the sharpest satires of our generation. It's a meta-horror movie that simply laughs at the very movies it's trying to perpetuate. More than that, there's a clear sense of recognition. Any horror fan watching the movie can pick out the clichés and stereotypes.

The movie itself is great but the 4k transfer leaves alot to be desired.

Great and fun movie for horror fans. An actual original story is hard to come by in horror movies today and this one nailed it. The 4K transfer is crisp and clean. I don’t usually buy steel books because I’m more about the movie itself but it’s really nice. Add to your collection

Hearing the title "The Cabin in the Woods" I was expecting a generic slasher movie, but from the get-go you realize this isn't your average teen-cut-em-up like "Friday the 13th" and the myriad of others. I won't comment too much on the plot, but I really enjoyed the twists it pulled as to why the aforementioned teens are being surveilled. Initially I was expecting a "Hostel"-type reasoning, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. Aside from the plot twists there is plenty of gore to get your "yuck" factor in motion, but there's plenty of lines and moments to make you laugh out loud. A surprisingly solid flick.

Story was meh. Needed longer running time, tho and a more unique title.

One of my favorite movies of the past 10 years, was super hyped to see a 4k release and a steelbook no less. Really surprised at the price, this is definitely a must own! The 4k transfer looks amazing, and for the price, it being a steelbook is a steal!

Entertaining but not a movie I would recommend as being great.

Yet another beautifully done release from Lionsgate! We get the deluxe treatment here and I love the slipcovers now for these. Good idea. The movie looks and sounds good in 4K. If you are a fan of this horror movie, I would say go and get it and find a good deal on it. It is worth having in your horror movie library.

Overall good movie good atmos sounds worth the purchase

First time owning this movie in any form and I was not disappointed in the quality of the picture. However, the sound was another issue. Not sure if it's just my copy but the Dolby Atmos track would have pauses in the audio from time to time. The Steelbook looks great with a glossy finish and a slip. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. Recommend grabbing this if you're a fan!

This was loaned to me by a co-worker. I had heard a lot of good things about it, but only that it was different. I pay homage to the classic horror movies, but with several unexpected twists. It starts off like typical horror movie, but with a few odd scenes which leave you scratching your head wondering what is going on. By the end it will all make sense, and I even got my horror hating wife to watch after I bought my own copy. Expect, and don't expect, typical fare in this movie, just watch it an you will understand.

Cabin in the Woods is one of those flicks that makes you yearn for the 80s heydays of horror. It had a nice twist to it at the end and the acting and pacing were surprisingly not what I was expecting, but better. Whedon's influence is evidenced in casting and dialogue. This is sort of a spiritual successor to what a more grown up live action Scooby Doo movie could have been. Pay real close attention to how each of the characters were written and portrayed. The 4K UHD transfer is very well executed for a movie such as this. Definitely worth the purchase!

I enjoy the cheesy type a Sci-Fi, fantasy, horror movies, it has always been my thing. I loved this movie because it was pretty much different than your typical, recycled "horror/scary" movies that are released senselessly. The ending was awesome because I was expecting this to have a happy ending & it was far from it, hahaha. I had heard good hints about this movie, so I took a chance and bought it and I am very happy with my purchase. 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up for this movie. xD

Beautiful steelbook to add to my collection and it was delivered properly in a box with bubble wrap as well ! Has some awesome details on it inside and out as well the slip cover that I wish all steelbooks from Best Buy had on them .
