The Cabin in the Woods is a vastly underrated horror film that bucks the trends of the genre in favor of some fresh takes on a rather stale campy horror setup. The premise, while not wholly original, is fresh enough to keep your interest, and there will be twists and turns that you truly did not expect. There is a fair amount of humor to go along with the gore and suspense, giving the film a nice pacing. Overall, this film is well done, and it should satisfy any late night horror crave.

Really love the design of the steelbook and its slipcover. Cabin in the Woods has continued to age well with smart writing and some really creative monsters. I also appreciated the amount of extras including commentaries and a closer look at how the monsters were made.

Such a great horror flick that you can watch every halloween season or when the occasion calls for it! The steelbook artwork is alright, not extravagant here BUT this movie, in my opinion, has definitely earned a title in the TOP 100 horror movies of the past 25 years!

Great packaging for a great movie. The lenticular sleeve over the steelbook adds a cool feature to the already great artwork. If you don’t own this movie in 4K, this is the edition you need to get.

This movie is for anyone who loves sci-fi/horror ...it's essential viewing...great plot that gives all horror movie cliches and flips them upside down by the mid way point. Staring Chris Hemsworth and written and directed by joss Weaton...it's a no brainer.

One of the better twisty horror films. Great, unexpected fun. I didn't know what to expect. You think this is a regular slasher type of film, but then everything goes another way. Go in without seeing the trailer or reading up on it and have fun.

Awesome horror satire and the lionsgate knocks it out of the park again with the design of the Steelbook the only downside is that the 4K transfer is way too dark to see anything so I recommend watching the Blu-ray Disc

Although there is gore and jump scare moments, this movie is certainly not your typical horror film. Instead of following in the footsteps of all the scary movies before it, Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard has turned the genre on its head and instead does an unique tongue-in-cheek story that winks at horror movies as a whole. Overall, it's something that you should at least watch once if you consider yourself a fan of horror.

Cabin In The Woods is a cut above your average horror movie. The film has all the trappings of those flicks you'be seen many times before, but manages to steer you into uncharted territory just when you think you've figured it out. Smart, funny at times and you get good special effects as well. The last 30 minutes are nothing short of spectacular and not to be missed. How many films include an impalement involving a unicorn's horn?! Too cool. If you like horror films but feel like you've seen it all, this is for you. Fresh and clever.

This is a clever horror movie that also pokes fun at, in a playful way, other movies in the same genre. It is a fun horror movie rather than the "torture" horror movies that are so popular today. This movie also has a high replay value in my opinion which makes it worth the purchase. It also comes with a digital copy that, using Ultra-Violet service, you can link to your Vudu, Cinema Now, or other online movie streaming apps. I say "BOO" to you if you don't add this to your horror film collection.

... I probably would not like this film as much as it is now. It's a film that may have a few horror cliches from past films, but, not to give it away, it's the ending of the film that will surprise you. The casting is very good, the visual effects are, for the most part, excellent, and the writing may go from "been there, done that" to "woah." Thanks, Joss Wheadon. (and to Drew Goddard) Definitely worth seeing.

Really nice quality steelbook. Like these new steelbook designs with the plastic slipcover. Helps protect the steelbook from scratches and wear and tear. The picture and sound quality of the disc is top notch. Recommended.

Rock solid. Precisely what it is that is funny about being stuck in a cabin in the woods that somehow manages to look like the famous Walkie Talkie building is demonstrably not funny at all.

This is really more than a Horror movie. It is a satire of all teeny bopper horror flicks and the slasher films of the 80s, which makes it a brilliant but misunderstood film. Joss Whedon (The Avengers) is the mind behind this one, so you know it will entertain. It has one of the greatest and most entertaining scenes I have ever seen towards the end of the film, great for horror fans.

High-quality picture and gorgeously packaged, the best option available to own for this clever film, which provides many surprising plot twists. A must for any horror fan!

This is one of those horror movies that are just unique in their own way because if you think about the other horror movies just think that they can send put those monsters out there for some crazy sacrifice

Lionsgate makes some of the best steelbooks thanks to their protective slipcovers. Plus, the great price for catalog titles makes this a must buy.

Underrated movie and one of the best steelbook w/ slipcover designs out there. There’s a secret hidden in plain sight. If you enjoy this movie this is a must have for every collector.

Steelbook is amazing. One of my favorite Lionsgate steelbook designs. However the slipcover was bent on the back when I opened it. I’ve seen many other copies with the same problem. The front of the steelbook is perfect but the back is a little messed.

As it unfolds, it seems like a cliché horror movie, but as it turns out, that is the point. It builds on many myths and creates something unexpected and exciting, while treating you to a wide variety of horror chills and gore, with an ending you will not forget. Joss Whedon is well known for fun, well-made ensemble movies, and this was another one of this best.
