This is a good movie! A must watch and must own!!!!

Can tell there was conflict with the creative parties involved. There's good ideas here and interesting character situations. But you can just feel there were different ideas coming from Bret Easton Ellis and Paul Schrader, as far as what the other was trying to do with this story. Bret's intention was much lighter, more akin to his classics Rules of Attraction and Less Than Zero, while Schrader wanted something maybe a little too serious and less fun. In the end though, it has a modern Showgirls vibe to it in that it's trashy, pretty dumb, but there's an element to it that clicked for me. But it WILL NOT for a lot of people.

this movie has a lot going for it but sadly it doesn't live up to its potential but still worth a view.

Lohan does a good job of acting in this attempt at modern film noir. Everyone else in the film does a poor job including the actors, writer and director. You at least expect better from the Director and writer based on past work. This DVD is also the edited version. Not the unrated like the Blu-ray
