Very good story line...excellent cast....excellent movie.

A recent Christmas film for people of all ages. Beautifully set in turn of the century England when electricity was beginning to replace candles for interior lighting. Symbolical blending of the spiritual & material worlds within an interesting story requiring religious faith in God and in oneself. The story, photography, sets, music and acting are all first rate. Deserves to become in time a Christmas classic.

Not my favorite Christmas movie of all time by any means but as far as Christmas movies go it's a good one to add to your collection . Always seems to be on pretty good priced sale so it won't hurt the wallet adding it to your collection . Enjoyable for all ages and a great movie .

Feel good movie for Christmas. Up there with hallmark movies.

Touching movie for the holidays and with the family.

So we all know Santa isn't real and Christmas has become more of a commercial holiday than ever. This movie brings back some of the old fashioned spirit to the holiday. Mind you, not if the Pastor has his way. He wants to modernize the holiday and get rid of the Christmas Candle legend. Well, things don't go as expected. This is a lovely story told and acted very well and will leave you with that old Christmas spirit you had as a child.

This is a meaningful Christmas movie, a period-piece with authentic sets, production values, good actors. If you are looking for a good story without the romance of Hallmark's many offerings, this is an excellent alternative. I bought the DVD after I stumbled across it on cable TV but missed the beginning. Wanted it for my Christmas DVD collection.
