Very nice fairy tale, very touching. I'd give it 5 Stars, but it has a tendency to drag, possibly from lack of editing. It's a perfect vehicle for Sandler as a nice Jewish boy coming from a long line of immigrants, keeping up the family business. He discovers by accident a special power in an old stitching machine in his basement. Like the dutiful man he is, he sets out to use it for good and meets evil along the way.

Having not seen any trailers for this movie in the theaters my wife and I were concerned about how good it might be. We decided to take a risk based on the relatively low price. It kept us interested, had the odd twist in it, made us laugh, provoked a tear or two, and overall we were quite happy with our purchase. I would not recommend this to a family with young children.

This is not the Adam Sandler from Billy Madison or even Blended. I knew nothing of the movie and waited for the humor only to discover this was a very dark movie. not to say I didn't enjoy it, but definitely not what I was accustomed to seeing from Adam Sandler. he does a great job in his role as a Cobbler able to assume the identity of others by simply wearing their shoes and I don't think I would have enjoyed this movie with any other actor. As a fan of Adam Sandler it was nice to see him in a different movie genre, but took a minute to realize this movie was not filled with the brand of humor I was used to.

Tom McCarthy wrote and directed this charming urban fairy tale set in New York City. Adam Sandler plays a cobbler who accidentally discovers the power of a family heirloom that lets him walk in the shoes of his customers.

Very good movie. Everybody loves this movie that I watch it with. My girlfriend loved this movie. Her mom will love this movie. My mom will love this movie. I'm not sure why it got bad reviews on rotten tomatoes. It was a movie about real stuff that matters and real stuff that could really happen. Good life lessons can be learned for the young children. Should have been rated PG.

It was nice for an Adam Sandler movie but you have to be patient. When I was watching it I was wondering where it was going. Then the action started. The way it ended looked like the making of a TV series.

Watching Adam Sandler in a serious role can be very long and a let down. BUT, not in this movie. excellent story telling from beginning to end. Don't turn away from this one to buy and/or rent.

I bought this movie thinking it was going to be another hilarious Sandler / Happy Madison production. It's not slap-stick funny, but it actually turned out to be a very clever and fun movie.

We enjoy most of Adam Sandlers movies and this was like most, funny enough to keep you interested.... Will it win any awards? no, but it made me laugh some and that's ok with me !

Probably one of the better movies from Sandler. Good story with a touch of fantasy. I liked it. Having Dustin Hoffman and other great actors helped to make this a GOOD movie !

At times the movie seemed to drag, but impressed with Adam and his acting. he's very good at whatever he does. nice to see him in a movie that wasn't silly

The premise of walking in another man's shoes is an old one, but this was a new take on that idea. We enjoyed it very much and will watch it again.

I hadn't heard much about this movie before but I finally watched it on cable and I actually enjoyed it. A little different but very entertaining

I enjoyed watching Adam sander doing more drama then comedy for a different type of role.He is also a good dramatic actor as good as a comedian

I only bought it cause I'm an adam sandler fan and it was $12 but it's an okay movie not really funny more sad and like did that just happen.

This is a funny movie with a lot of heart. As a shoe maker who can become anyone after he puts on a pair of shoes owned by other people when worked on his magic shoe machine. A lot of adventure happen to fix the wrongs in his neighborhood. All in all a good movie.

This movie has a different story that is unique for Hollywood. It is a comedy with some action and a little drama.. The movie is well edited and acted. I don't want to say to much about the story without giving it away. Just watch it you will like it.

Adam sandler does it again. Not as comedic as the rest of his films but a good one as well. Funny and serious at the same time.

While not his typical comedic role, Adam Sandler portrays his character wonderfully. Great and unexpected storyline.
