The story is about the the downfall of a post-apoloptic colony and the battle with cannibals that bring its downfall. The ending leaves a ray of hope as they leave the colony with precious cargo for a better place. the cast and crew interviews are well worth watching.

This film takes place in 2045 in a world reduced to an "ice age" due to global warming when "weather machines" fail. The survival of the the human race depends on living in controlled environments underground. The balance of harvesting food and disease prevention allows for a constant level of stress throughout the group with some handling it well and others not so well. Problems arise when those that don't handle the anxiety well have guns. Problems also arise when some lend themselves to harvesting humans instead of crops. These events help create an entertaining and well thought out story with imaginative sets through out and great acting. For sci fi buffs this is one of those gems you hear little about but when you find it...yeah!

Wasn't sure what to expect going in but it was a good action movie. Much better than I expected.

This is a good movie about how some humans would act in a disaster. The earth is in a constant winter pattern & humans have gone underground to survive. It shows how the strong take control & dictate to the weaker people, what they can or can't do. Then the worst cenerio, humans eating humans. Turning into savages & cannibals.

A good scifi theme of an ice world - earth gone wrong via mans science- is a backdrop for a tale of survival that lacks any "epic" characters that would be the survivors is such a place, save for the throw back bad guy who only grunts and howls, the plot evokes little emotion or real suspense, which it could if polished and focused around the plot that does have potential, most of the characters lack any depth or emotions other than terror and teenage love and and as a whole the movie is just "OK"

Bill Paxton and Laurence Fishbourne are great actors, if only the writers would have given them something better to work with.

I like the movie is good but no to much because to much zombies

I like the concept of the movie. I was hooked from beginning to the very end. It has a great cast. I believe I got my moneys worth with this feature film.

Overall, not bad but story line left a lot to be desired.

was mostly 3 men just running. If I would have been able to see it befor I bought it I would not have bought.

I had never seen previews for this movie, but spied it here on Best Buy.com. Wow, I'm glad I did! Good action, thriller movie, great story line with some big name actors starring in it.

This movie was emotional about how some had to survive to stay alive when globalization take an effect upon the world.

If you enjoy 30 Days of Nights, you will enjoy this movie.

Below average movie with a very predictable plot. Great cinematography but not enough going for it to save the movie. But the price was cheaper than going to the theater.

I will watch it again, because it's a really good movie

The film is a post-apocalyptic story told on a limited budget. There are no great plot twists and the few interesting story ideas presented are left unexplored. It wants to be a scary sci-fi film like the Thing, but the dialogue and the very premise don't live up to this comparison. There are much better movies out there.

The Colony movie was not that great of a suspense movie.
