Metropolis is an excellent visual fight into the past before sound pictures

Not a whole lot to say about this one other than if you're any kind of a fan of Metropolis, you must have this in your collection. I have a copy which is a 'direct from print' copy on a DVD and there was no work done to clean it up and it doesn't have the half hour of missing footage, so this makes it a rare treat to have.

An utter classic of German Expressionist science fiction. A must-watch for anyone interested in silent films and science fiction.

This 1927 silent sci-fi classic inspired many other classic science fiction movies, including Blade Runner and Star Wars. This re-mastered restoration includes most of the lost footage and even the original 1927 score. Best restoration to date. Way ahead of its time, this classic film is a must have.

Enjoyed watching both disks and how much work was done for this movie more people need to see this Masterpiece

This is a classic film that should be on every film lover's bucket list.

A wonderful movie, but there seems to be a problem with the production of the discs. This happened on a recent movie disc I bought as well, where there is a gray filter over the entirety of the film, so the blacks aren’t truly black. This is especially important with this movie, as it is filmed in black and white and the gray filter destroys the detail. Other than that, the shipping and handling was great. Came on time.

Not usually a fan of silent films even though they are for the most part excellent films This sci fi is unbelievably realistic at a time when technology was non existent One of the best sci fi films ever made Keeps you watching

This sci-fi classic is the originator that has spawned entire subcultures from many classic science fiction movies to steampunk. A must own for anyone, not just sci-fi fans! This is also the most complete version of the film I've ever seen and I'm so happy to own it!

May be hard for some to watch a silent film but this sci fi classic still stands up. You can see this is as inspiration for so many films that came after. Was edited for the USA and finally the full film was been restored.
