Another Great Set from the Decemberists
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Colin Meloy has a tendency to write intelligent lyrics and this cd was no exception. Although it's a little darker than their previous releases, it's still full of quirky tales that'll have your imagination running. This was their first cd on a major label and you can hear it. They sound slightly more mainstream... but only slightly. If you don't mind songs that will make you think as well as feel, give these a listen.

For long term fans, another great addition to the discography. My favorite tunes are the Crane Wife (parts 1-3), Sons and Daughters, Shankill Butchers, and Summersong. The whole album, however, is a must have; simply brilliant.
