Customers are saying
Customers are satisfied with the gameplay, citing it as fabulous and fun with excellent graphics. Many also appreciate the vast amount of content and the expansive open world, although some experienced occasional lag depending on internet connection. While the story is considered good, a persistent concern is the requirement of an internet connection to play.

Experienced MMO player
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After I approached this game as an MMO and not an Elder Scrolls game, it became much more enjoyable. As an MMO, this game is top notch and I can now see myself playing it for a long time to come. It has plenty of content, a long history of lore and storyline and much more to come. The cash shop doesn't feel like it's P2Win and from what I have seen the players have generally been civilized and helpful. I'm not sure this is mentioned anywhere but the console version of the game has built in voice chat but no text chat, somewhat limiting to those that do not have a headset or want to participate in voice.

Elder Scrolls with a twist
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ESO is a fun adventure game with that mmo feel. Instead of an open world defeat everything you see game, you get a mmo level based game with a pretty linear story line. Not as open as skyrim but it holds its own.

Everything you would expect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is really everything you would expect out of an Elder Scrolls game. Imagine an MMO like World of Warcraft and a console single player like Elder Scrolls Oblivion and combine them, that is what you get. Im not a big fan of leveling up where you only choose from Magic, Health, and Stamina to add 1 point too. I prefered the old way with Luck, Intelligence, Agility, Strength, Willpower, Speed etc.. You get the norms of MMO like mounts, crafting, pvp, etc.. I am also not a fan of the multiplayer questing, it seems like just two individuals and not a team. Its hard to keep track of each other, and what missions the other players are on and such. Still overall a solid game and it will continue to evolve.

Great but flawed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is great for most elder scroll fans with a massive beautiful world and actually interesting quests with cool storylines. The bad thing is not really being able to play with you're friends as conveniently still which is a little frustrating but I still really love this game. It's a great elder scrolls title but the mmo aspects need to be polished.

Excellent MMORPG
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the best MMOs out there for not requiring a game subscription. It works with console controls. The freedom with skill points can be a little overwhelming for players new to MMOs who want to create an efficient character, but a little online research can quickly solve any indecisiveness. Just remember this is an MMO. It has similarities to Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind, but it is NOT the same style of game. Think more WoW or Guild Wars. Multiplayer is a key aspect to fully appreciate and explore this game.

WORDS CAN NOT EXPRESS !!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ok... this could be a novel. Elder Scrolls is a huge game and even if you are not an RPG person or even played a MMORPG before Elder Scrolls will captivate you and have you leveling up or crafting in no time. Don't forget the hours and hours of just exploring that is available for those who want to seek out unexplored territory.

Keeps My Teenager Occupied for Days on End
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't personally played this game (I'm not a gamer), so I'm submitting this review as the mother of a teenager. Typically, my son (almost 16) will want a $60 game, play it for about a week, and be done with it. Somewhat frustrating, since $60 is a lot for one game, but it is what it is! This game, however, has held his interest for over a month now, and he's still totally engrossed. So I may not be able to report on the specific features and aspects of the game, since I don't play it, but from an investment standpoint, it was one of the better game investments we've made this year. In addition, although I paid the full $60 for it when it first came out, it went on sale for $40 two weeks later, and Best Buy (per their normal policy) did a price adjustment for me and gave me back the $20 difference, so I only ended up spending $40 in the long run. Double score!

Like Skyrim? This is online Skyrim.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually played this game in closed beta, and the biggest change between then and now seems to be a layer of polish on the game. It was fun, before, but a little rough around the edges. Now, the presentation is very clean and the same mechanics are still there. The game has very Skyrim-esque questing, armor and weapons, and a crafting system that feels a lot more expansive than crafting was in Skyrim. The only issue I ever have with the game is the occasional lag when you're in an area with a lot of people with poor connections... but that's to be expected with an online game. Be sure you realize, though: this game IS online only. Also, your characters are tied to the server you create them on. If you start playing on North American servers, and you decide you want to give the European servers a try, you're not going to be able to play your characters from the North American servers. Though this could also be a plus if you decide you REALLY like the game, and want to create a whole bunch of characters to keep playing over from the beginning.

Wasn't sure I'd like it, but it is pretty fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was leery of playing an MMORPG on a console as I'm not much of an online gamer, but I have really enjoyed most of Bethesda's games including previous Elder Scroll games. Well this one really is no different than previous versions outside of the obvious fact that there are a good number of other players running around talking to the same people or doing the same quest that you are. My only gripe so far is that it seems my session seems to drop from time to time. I don't lose internet anywhere else, so I don't think it is my setup but rather the Bethesda servers.

A worthwhile MMO.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When ESO first launched, the reception was shaky, but the newly redesigned and repackaged Tamriel Unlimited is well worth your time. Being that it's an MMO, you have hours upon hours of gameplay and the game is really just beginning once you hit the level cap. Bethesda has also been providing this game with expansions and support, so it's unlikely that you'll run out of things to do or ways to have fun. I was pleasantly surprised by this game.

MMO Madness!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first MMO videogame. Honestly, I'm not for sure how I feel about it. I was expecting Skyrim. This is not necessarily the case. It's loads of fun to run across other players characters. It's also annoying at the same time to run across other players. I know, it's a MMO, that is the point. I am still new to the game and need to give it more time. The early missions are just boring though. Talk to this NPC, get a mission, run around a bit, come back and talk to that NPC again, run around some more, repeat. Ugh!

Great Game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is a great online game. Story and non-story elements are well integrated and the gameplay is very true to the series legacy. The fact that no subscription is required is a huge positive. Recommended for any RPG fan.

Good game, but reminds me of better possibilities
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is definitely a game worth playing if you consider yourself even an middling elder scrolls fan. Awesome lore, plays well, and interesting stories. My only issue is that with everything I do in the game, I can't help but wonder how much better it would be in a more traditional elder scrolls game. "Man, sneaking through this cave is awesome. But it would be way better if it were just me and I could totally clear this without ever leaving stealth." "This crafting system is amazing, but the fact that I can only harvest one in 30 plants is really wearing on me. And waiting 24 hours to research a belt enchantment seems a little excessive." "Dang! That was a tough fight. Thankfully I can take a break and look at all my new goodies OH GOODNESS IT JUST RESPAWNED AND I USED ALL MY POTIONS AND now I am dead." These are all mechanics totally necessary for a balanced and fun MMO, but they sometimes detract from what I feel like Elder Scrolls should be. This game is 60% awesome, 40% wondering what could have been had they chosen to just make the next straight elder scrolls. If that seems entitled, then sorry. But that's my take.

Decent console MMO
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Elder Scrolls Online is a pretty good MMO for consoles. There is no subscription fee to worry about, just buy the game and you can access all the content. The UI and gameplay is essentially Skyrim. The quests and world are not as detailed, but this is to be expected for an MMO. The world is enormous as you visit every region in Tamriel, with Cyrodiil hosting the massive PVP area. It's a good experience, but not alone. Get some friends to group up with to get the most out of this.

A really good console MMO
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looking for an MMO that wont charge you monthly. Then look no further than ESO. This game is fun and it play a lot like Skyrim but in a massive multyplayer world. It has tons of hours of content and variety in it weapon and classes.

Great console MMO
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game had gotten some mixed reviews, but I had a gift card and decided to use it on this. Combat is enjoyable, dungeons are challenging but fun, and the quests are for the most part well-designed. I also quite like that there is no subscription, and the cash shop primarily has cosmetic or convenience items. On the downside, chat being voice only is a nuisance, group finder is a mess, and there's no unified auction house so buying and selling things is a pain.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was 15 minutes late to work today because I couldn't stop playing this game. Good game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.he Elder Scrolls Online is set in Tamriel's Second Era, roughly 1,000 years before the events in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and the coming of the Dragonborn, and just before the rise of Tiber Septim, the first Emperor of Tamriel. Three Alliances have emerged across the continent, each struggling for supremacy over the land. As these great powers battle one another for control of the Imperial City - and with it all of Tamriel - darker forces are moving to destroy the world! Journey across the far reaches of ancient Tamriel for the first time since The Elder Scrolls: Arena. From the mountains of Skyrim, to the mysterious lands of Morrowind, to the sprawling metropolis of Daggerfall, experience the wonders of the world a millennium before the events of Oblivion and Skyrim.
