I was skeptical with this being the first real mmorpg to co e to consoles but it really works great. It's everything you loved from the elder scrolls series with the added benefit of other players, something I've always though they should have. No more wandering the huge world's alone. It's very easy to sit down and look up realizing 3 days have past and you haven't eatin just like that. Awesome game for fans and newcomers.

Game is really fun, especially if you have friends who play the game as well. If you loved any of the skyrim games you'll love this one. Only downside is (unlike the PC version which requires no subscription), you must have an Xbox live subscription to play.

ESO doesn't offer a lot of groundbreaking game features but it finally gives fans pf the Elder Scrolls / Skyrim universe the chance to play together. There are plenty of quests, classes, items, and content to keep you busy in solo play or with your friends.

It's never good to be an early adopter of MMO's. My first time around I was miserable. However, they have fixed all my original complaints. I am actually enjoying running around Tamriel.
There is a lot to do and explore. But it is your typical MMO in first person. Horses are priced outrageous still but the PVE (player vs environment) is good. These types of games are generally fetch quest and kill the animal.
The PVP (player vs player) is in the form of a world war between realms is epic. I have seen about 30 people (battalion) running into an assault on a map larger than anything Battlefield 4 has. I've no idea how many people the maps will hold. But you definitely want a horse and higher level. I was 10.
I'm more a Call of Duty/Battlefield guy. I mostly play for my friends. But it was fun finding a grind / farm area and turning in the loot.

I bought the game the graphics are good but I haven't played it much since I have already played a free world style game. Trying to go to another was just to overwhelming. But I will probably go back to it later when I'm ready for free world.

I picked this up to play with a friend. I was pleasently surprised that I had fun. I've already played 15 hours and love it. Content / gameplay over everything (looking at you Destiny).

If you loved Skyrim or Oblivion and wished to have them in an MMO type format, this is it. I heard about many issues at launch for PC, but the Xbox version works very well and has no subscription fees. There were a few bugs here and there, but patches have worked most of it out. This is the most lag-free online game I've ever seen.
The character creation is deep. The skill trees allow you to keep customizing your character to fit your play style.
Crafting is a little too deep in my opinion. It requires way too many components, but hey, maybe others like that. The nice thing is you only do it if you want.
There is a crown store where you can use real world cash to buy in-game mounts and followers, but none of it is necessary to enjoy the game.
There isn't a lot of teamwork within the game from other players, but there are many shared dungeons where you will find fellow adventurers to momentarily lend a hand. There are a few solo missions, but overall it is very multiplayer oriented.
I really enjoy this game and highly recommend it.

If you love Elder Scrolls and Skyrim in particular, this game will be everything you ever dreamed of. If gives you a chance to play elder scrolls with friends. Yes, some of the missions are slow and pointless, but that is what a MMO is. The main quest is great, playing with friends is fun and it still has that Elder Scrolls feel. It is a must get if you are a fan of the series.

I bought this game in mid June 2015, and for a few weeks it was nearly unplayable. The mandatory update took several hours, and after I finally got a spot on the server, several aspects of the game were missing. I couldn't complete quests, other players were black silhouettes, and I was unaware that there was voice acting for the NPCs until a few weeks later.
It would seem that despite the rocky launch, Bethesda has all the kinks worked out and now it is an incredibly playable game. I've never played WoW or any other MMO, and if I can get my n00b-tier head wrapped around it in just a few sessions, anyone can. The online community is great, and I have a feeling that this game is just about to hit its stride. There are still bugs, and there will be for a while. So it goes with new MMOs.

After the initial login issues upon release, and Bethesda being caught off guard by the instant popularity of the game, Elder Scrolls Online offers a deep, rich playing experience set in an expansive world with a vast and detailed history rich in the tradition of previous Scrolls titles. The game does a good job of borrowing on successes of other MMORPG's and brings those gameplay elements into the ESO world. Whether you like PVP, PVP crafting or grouping up on quests there is probably something you will enjoy about ESO. Leveling is smooth for casual gamers but still challenging for hardcore gamers, as well. There is also talk of raid content being released by Bethesda in the future, which could take the game to another level given its, already immense, size.

This is everything you'd expect for an MMO in the ES universe. If you like the story and the world of tamriel I recommend you get this! If you're a big fan of dungeon crawlers, however, you may be a tad disappointed.

The Elders Scroll's Tamriel Edition is a very fast passed game. Some times it goes a little too fast and is hard to understand what you are actually trying to do. There is a lot of things you can do and the game doesn't every really become boring. Overall I really like this game and recommend this for people that like Skyrim and other mission type games.

The Elder Scrolls Online is set 1000 years before Skyrim. I won't delve too much into the plot (the game is committed to telling a sweeping fantasy tale); suffice it to say, you play as the Vestige, a soulless adventurer killed by the servants of Daedric prince Molag Bal--think Snow Lucifer--who has been given a second chance at life. You scour the continent of Tamriel fighting demonic invasions and the political upheaval of the continent's three major military alliances. Your time is spent undertaking three major activities: questing, fighting, and exploring. On each of these core fronts,

The whole concept of being able to play with friends online is really sweet but the story isn't near as entertaining as the story from skyrim. They need to add a few more features as well.

I've had the game since launch and it has improved a lot since the first week or so. That first week it had a very long queue to wait in to join the server, this seems to happen to almost all new MMO's, also for the first couple days I would frequently run into invisible NPC's and would have to restart the game to fix it. Now I rarely get placed into a login queue and or run into glitches that require me to restart the game. It's a lot of fun playing in the Elder Scrolls universe with my friends. I'm enjoying the Elder Scrolls setting and lore. I've played for close to 70 hrs and have barely scratched the surface.

Console Version is Outstanding

Played the computer beta version of ESO and came away with mixed feelings about the game. However, the console (Xbox One) version of the game is outstanding. Read reviews prior to purchasing the game about server problems. Happy to say that I've only encountered login problems once or twice. The game is very stable. I haven't encountered any major glitches or bugs. I wasn't going to buy the game because of the monthly fee they were originally going to charge. However, since they dropped that fee you now have a game similar to most of the other console games where you pay as you go for DLCs. I would recommend getting the Imperial Edition. If for no other reason then to get an Imperial mount. Having a mount in PVP comes in handy to get back to the fight. If you have played Morrowind, etc. in the past then you'll really enjoy this game. The game is similar in some aspects to Dark Ages of Camelot. So good gameplay for those that want to do PVE and likewise for PVP. I highly recommend this game.

It's a bit annoying that I have problems logging onto the US servers at times and need to log onto the European servers instead. All in all, it;s a decent game, though.
