I had my doubts about this game but have been pleasantly surprised by the experience. The story definitely isn't award-winning or in any way understandable, but everything else is pretty entertaining thus far.

Not too many cons, a must buy for the genre. Not something for the kids though. If youre a resident evil fan, you should feel at home, some areas can get annoying because the path is not spelled out for you.

The Evil Within is a mixture of Resident Evil 4 and Silent Hill. Great game! Very creepy and gory. I will say that it starts off slow but does pick up. The story is somewhat hard to follow but overall a great play. Graphics are pretty good but no last of us. the gore can be cartoonish at times. With all this being said it is still definitely the best horror game in awhile!

The Evil Within isn't a game for everyone and definitely not for the faint of heart. If you like modern horror games like Resident Evil 5 and 6 that focus more heavily of action set pieces with unlimited ammo, you'll be disapointed. If your a fan of old school survival horror like the early Resident Evil and Silent Hill games, this game is for you. The Evil Within actually feels a lot like Resident Evil 4 (the last GOOD RE game in my opinion) and that's for a good reason, it was Directed by Shini Mikami who is responsible for those early Resident Evil games and returns to the genre after over a decade of a hiatus. You could pretty much think of this game as the true spiritual successor to Resident Evil 4.

This is an scary title reminiscent of Resident Evil 4 but that was 2 gens ago and this doesn't measure against the true AAA titles you can choose from

Hours fun. What I enjoy the most about this game is the challenge. It actually found myself stuck. As well as dying over a 100 times without getting frustrated. It the best horror game of 2014!!!!!

A mixture of resident evil 4 with some classic survival horror elements. Overall good action and scares.

Besides alien isolation this is the only game that will frighten you while playing. you will die dozens of time but you will get rewarded every time you beat a boss. recommend to anyone

This game has a few issues... First off I'm not that far into the game. One problem is it doesn't give any real direction; I'd like to have so kind of clue what I'm working towards. Second, ammo and other equipment is scarce. But in general, I do like it. It keeps you on your toes and if you played in the darkit's definitely going to give you a fright. It kind of reminds me of playing the first resident evil on the first PlayStation.
