A good prequel. Holds up to the other movies in the franchise. Showing how it's a social experiment gone wrong/right. Entertaining.

Felt this movie could have been better. Didn’t like how one sided it seemed. Still like “the first” Original “the Purge” best.

I usually don’t like watching movies that goes back in time to show how it all began. This is one time they got it right.

Probably the 3rd best in the series. Picture quality is decent in 4K. Audio sounds great. Steelbook for the collection.

It is a good movie to set up how the Purge came about. Not the best movie in the series, but definatly not the worst.

I am a big fan of the Purge movie series. But this one was very weak compared to the previous 3. It was a good idea to try to tell the story of how the Purge was started, but it was a very weak script. Over all it was entertaining on it's own, but when you link it to the other Purge films, it really falls short. If you can get this on sale in the $12 range, then grab it. Otherwise... wait.

If you are a fan of the Purge series, then you should definitely purchase this film. Love the steel book packaging.

This movie is a story that generate thought in today's society. Though fiction, it could very well be true. The idea of showing how the idea was started was a great way to add a sequel. I recommend this movie as great entertainment.

This may not be the best in the series but it is up there. It was great to finally know the origin and its intent.

Purge movies are rather mediocre, but I saw this one in theaters and enjoyed. Decided to pick up for Black Friday

The first purge is a good movie, but the comedy and the comic relief character are out of place in this movie.

It is not as a good as the originals however it is nice to have a full backstory and see where it all began.
