You know I love The Purge series but there comes a time when you've just got to stop because you can only do the same movie only so many times and The Purge was the great movie when it came out back in the day but they seem to be lacking something nowadays so although it's still a good movie I don't know if I would recommend it

I have not seen a purge film prior to this but I have been interested in watching them. With this being the lead up to how the series came about I was certainly interested in seeing this. It does a good job with some over the top moments and the usual need to suspend your belief but I think this was a good film. I enjoyed it and think you will to if you want something that can be a good film and not a masterpiece.

It’s an OK movie it explains more about where they came up with the ideal but I still like the first one better than this one

The was a great improvement on the last film, The Purge: Election Year. Now I'm excited to watch the tv series.

Not as good the others but was still pretty intense! The whole idea of having one night to purge is interesting.

Ok this "Prequel" suppose to tell a tale of how it began but for some reason plays like just another Purge movie.

Good flick that almost makes you think this could actually happen. Not really, but it fills the space.

I think this was about the worst flick in this series. Certainly some liberal Hollywood idea of how the purge would start (needed some prodding because the "good" folks on the island weren't naturally inclined to "act" on their own). Other than that some cool tech/looks in a few of the scenes... but I don't think it added real value or progressed the series.

Probably, the weakest of all the Purge movies! However, still worth a one time watch when bored.

I got this because I own the first 3 in the series. It's ok but still like the 2nd one the most.

The Purge series takes it back to the beginning with an average entry into the franchise.
