This was a new take on getting to become a god. It keeps you guessing about what the real relationship of Yuno and Yuki is.

Pretty good anime for anime lovers. A nice commentary on social media and the power we afford technology.

It has been over a year since I have watched this series but I can tell you that this is one of the most messed up shows I have watched in recent memory. The general premise of 12 people fighting to become the next God of Time and Space may seem like familiar territory. The God, Deus Ex, has given them all a Future Diary. Each Diary has its' own strengths and weakness. How they are exploited is shown as the series goes on. But what seperates it from the others is the central characters. Yukiteru Amano and Yuno Gasai. Yuki is generally a weak willed lead, he shows little bits of courage every now and again throughout. Yuno is the overly attached girlfriend, and she is definitely hiding something from Yuki. This show is about the interaction between our 12 contestants, their very fragile alliances, and how Yuki and Yuno's relationship "grows" as the series progresses. This is violent, dark, creepy, also is surprisingly sweet #at times#, and even delves into supernatural/sci-fi territory near the end. This is a great show, when I finished I had a hollow feeling which I don't usually feel when I finish a series. This show takes you on an emotional roller coaster and if you take the leap I bet you will find yourself enjoying it.

I own the limited edition DVD set of this one and have watched the series and its entirety, definetely a great series worth the watch, gets a little jumbled by the end however manages to keep its story extremely entertaining throughout as well as keeps you intrigued, awesome series but very gory and sexually explicit :P
