Mirai Nikki (Future Diary) is one of my favorite anime series ever. Yukkiteru is an annoying little snot, but if you were in high school and a bunch of psychopaths started trying to kill you, how tough would you really be? Compound that with the fact that the girl of your dreams is insanely in love with you (axe-wieldingly INSANE) and you are not having the greatest high scool experience. This is a story that is definitely not for children, but hardcore anime fans need this in their collection. The picture and sound are fantastic on blu-ray (yes I own it already) and the only downside of this set is that it does not have the Mirai Nikki Redial OVA that finishes the story. FUNimation is most likely going to sell that separately at some point, which is criminal in my eyes, but whatever. If you have never seen this series then treat yourself. If you have the DVDs or have seen it before then do yourself the favor of moving up to full HD!

It has been over a year since I have watched this series but I can tell you that this is one of the most messed up shows I have watched in recent memory. The general premise of 12 people fighting to become the next God of Time and Space may seem like familiar territory. The God, Deus Ex, has given them all a Future Diary. Each Diary has its' own strengths and weakness. How they are exploited is shown as the series goes on. But what seperates it from the others is the central characters. Yukiteru Amano and Yuno Gasai. Yuki is generally a weak willed lead, he shows little bits of courage every now and again throughout. Yuno is the overly attached girlfriend, and she is definitely hiding something from Yuki. This show is about the interaction between our 12 contestants, their very fragile alliances, and how Yuki and Yuno's relationship "grows" as the series progresses. This is violent, dark, creepy, also is surprisingly sweet #at times#, and even delves into supernatural/sci-fi territory near the end. This is a great show, when I finished I had a hollow feeling which I don't usually feel when I finish a series. This show takes you on an emotional roller coaster and if you take the leap I bet you will find yourself enjoying it.

I own the limited edition DVD set of this one and have watched the series and its entirety, definetely a great series worth the watch, gets a little jumbled by the end however manages to keep its story extremely entertaining throughout as well as keeps you intrigued, awesome series but very gory and sexually explicit :P

I had wanted to pick this series up since it first came out on DVD, however I wanted it in HD, so I waited. It was worth it! The picture and sound quality are gorgeous, and the show was very enjoyable. Perfect for the Halloween season IMO. On,y shame is lack of the final OVA, but that was probably due to licensing.

This is without a doubt one of my all time favorite animes. A killing game where each participant is given a diary that can see into the future, but only see whatever they where writing about before entering the game. I love all the twists and turns and mind games in this anime and if that's your thing you will too.

Within the 26 episodes that make up the show it was very compelling the entire way through. You were always on the edge of your seat waiting for what will happen next. It also has a great twist later in the series that blows your mind.
