Excellent film that has the same transfer as the Criterion release just without the extras and hefty price tag.

I could see this happening to anyone. The movie is old but timeless, the plot makes my heart beat hard, maybe my bp was going up, I even wanted to turn it off, was hard to endure the pain and feeling all that empathy was so difficult to take. I can only dream they can make movies this good again. wow. THIS MOVIE IS JUST FANTASTIC. YOU CAN SEE MORE REVIEWS AT IMDB. I JUST WISH EBAY SELLERS WOULD NOT BUY ALL THE STEELBOOKS AND THEN SCALP THEM ON EBAY THIS MUST END. PUT A LIMIT SAY 2 PER CUSTOMER ON PURCHASES OF STEELBOOKS. SHIP THEM IN BOXES NOT BUBBLE WRAP AS THEY ARE ALWAYS DENTED AND DAMAGED.

    An Interesting Well Acted Film

I am a fan of nearly all David Fincher's movies for their interesting plot twists and sometimes edgy neo noir themes. The Game has the interesting plot twists and excellent acting especially from the supporting cast which really makes this a good and engaging film. It is a bit more Hollywood and a little less edgy for my taste though than his great films like Seven, and Zodiac and not quite as exciting as his Hollywood version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The movie picked up steam when it got to the game itself and perhaps would have been better if some of the character development part in the beginning had been shorter. Anyway, this remains a good film from one of the best directors in the business and therefore this blu deserves to be part of any Fincher fans collection.

This movie is great, has amazing FUNNY lines, fast action, really sets a nice pace. The sound is great, can't say enough good things about the sound, it has what you expect for the money you spend on a disk of this magnitude, the money they spent was well placed. You get high quality content. The film is so realistic you forget its a movie and just fall into the story and lose yourself in the emotion and staging of the drama and action.

Excellent Thriller, David Fincher At His Best

Before there was Gone Girl, there was The Game. David Fincher once again creates a slick, well-paced, thriller which keeps you guessing throughout. Michael Douglas plays Nicholas Van Orton, a wealthy man who has money, power and success but is not completely happy with how his life has turned out. Sean Penn is cast as his little brother who decides to sign Nicholas up for "The Game" as a birthday present for the guy who has everything. Little does Nicholas know that this game will turn out to be the surprise of his life. I would highly recommend this psychological, well-crafted thriller to all.

The packaging is great and that's why I purchase it in the first place. I love the movie the game and it's one of David Fincher's best movies. However I was very disappointed in the fact that I couldn't get a store pick up and paid for shipping when the store actually physically sold it before the street day. I got an exchange even because the digital copy wouldn't work and the second copy wouldn't work either I'm about to return it for the third time to see if I can get a code but if not I might have to forego this purchase all together because I want both the digital copy and the physical item self. Other than that great design and very cool artwork

When I first watched this movie, I felt like I had stumbled onto a secret that I wanted to let everyone in on. I wanted to make sure everyone I knew watched this. Probably as close to a "perfect" movie as you will see. All the twists and turns you could want in a movie. Douglas at the top of his game (he does play the wealthy man with such ease). Penn does a masterful job and the criminally underrated Deborah Kara Unger is superb. If you haven't seen this movie, you are doing yourself a disservice.

I really want the Criterion version of this movie as released on Blu ray, however, I'm also "cheap", waiting for used copies to drop below $15 shipped. In the meantime, I'm happy to upgrade my DVD version of this movie to this Blu ray edition - it may be lacking in special features, but for me for now that's OK. David Fincher's vision for his movies is again clearly seen and felt in this one. I always find Michael Douglas easily watchable in all his films, especially this one, seems like a role tailor-fit just for him.

Stellar cast with Michael Douglas and Sean Penn, this is another great film by David Fincher. There is a Criterion blu-ray release for this film which comes with substantial amount of extras, while this blu-ray release is just bare bones with the feature film without any special features. Video and audio quality are great. If special features isn't worth your consideration, then this version for around $6-7 is the best way to go rather than getting the Criterion for $25+.

Saw this in the theater when it first came out, It totally fooled me until the very end. I don't know how many twists in the story. As soon as I thought I had it figured out, it would sucker punch me once again. I grabbed my brother and took him to see it for a 2nd time the following day. Stood and clapped both times at the ending...I loved to be tricked by a good 'who-done-it'. Brilliant story, wonderful casting.

    Exciting and Memerable View

Plot starts slowly and develops a foundation for things to come – the game is slow to start but be careful of what lays ahead. Interesting plot-line that holds your attention but it’s a “twister” that is hard to predict. This is an extremely high intensity thriller and there’s that double-twist ending that’s satisfying and for good measure another surprise ending pops up. Its view is both exciting and memorable!

This movie takes you on a wild ride, and you will either willingly go along with it and end up becoming a huge fan, or dismiss it as a complete fantasy. It is completely unique, however. I can think of few movies where the bulk of the emotional content takes place in the last 10 minutes. I loved the end of this movie. Great twists, excellent acting (one of Micheal Douglas' best roles), and fantastic cinematography make 'The Game' not-to-be-missed!

I haven't seen this movie since the '90s but it's very well done and keeps you guessing until the ending, which one would generally not expect. I didn't have a copy of this, and the steelbook release of it helped to add it back to the collection. If you enjoy movies with twists and turns, this one should keep you entertained.

The near perfect paranoid thriller looks great on blu-ray, and even better with the sweet cover art. Criterion film for a fraction of the price. Douglas in one of his last great roles. If you have not seen it, think Total Recall meets Enemy of the State. Is this real? This sure seems real.

When I initially saw this movie years ago when a friend let me borrow the DVD, I didn't like the fact that it was really what it was. But now that I have revisited this movie, really looking at the stress they put Michael Douglas through, it was intense and edge of your seat thrills.

This David Fincher directed movie, is probably his best. This film is such a mind bending film, that you do not know what is happening, in literally the last seconds of the film. It is suspenseful, action oriented, and well acted, led by the terrific Michael Douglas.

Once in a while you come across a great thriller. To accomplish this you have to have a great story line, superb acting and cinematography, a generous budget and an excellent styling consultant so that everything's just perfect. And The Game has all these aspects. Director David Fincher provides a really creepy, eerie atmosphere to the story. The cinematography has a dark, eerie look.
