Was not my favorite movie but it had twists & turns

this movie has a lot of action if you like movies like this you are goin g to love it

I loved David Fincher's remake of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and I couldn't wait for the sequel after seeing it. However, while we never got another film with Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig, this reboot is actually pretty entertaining. While Salander and the material of the movie are not as edgy as the Fincher one, I still enjoyed that the new spin on Salander being a little more action-oriented. While a lot of people hate "The Girl in the Spider's Web" due to it not being like the Lisbeth in the original book series by Stieg Larsson, I thought that Claire Foy's portrayal in the film was excellent. If you loved the original book series, the Swedish films, and Fincher's remake, you might not like this film. However, you should give it a shot despite the reviews.

've seen the original films which are great, but David Fincher's "Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" will always be my favorite because I love his eye for detail and dark subject matter. I enjoyed this movie a lot but you have to go in expecting a James Bond type movie where you don't think too critically about the plot or you will get upset. Claire Foy did a great job as Lisbeth. The actors I was most excited to see though were Sylvia Hoeks (from the newest Blade Runner) and Conrad Britton (Ed Kemper from Netflix's Mindhunter series). I hope they make another film.

I usually agree with reviews but I think they got this one wrong. A sequel to David Fincher’s Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was not as bad as they made it seem. Definitely above middle ground but not epic. It kept my interest and had a lot of good dialogue and interesting moments that made it more enjoyable. The twist of the villain was completely obvious from the get-go but that was kinda spoiled in the trailers. So if your looking for a dark moody thriller this one will do on a rainy day or snowy night in.

Young computer hacker Lisbeth Salander and journalist Mikael Blomkvist find themselves caught in a web of spies, cybercriminals and corrupt government officials as they try to retrieve Firefall, a program capable of accessing the world's nuclear codes. Claire Foy *is* the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. She gives us a more 'grounded' performance as Lisbeth, making her feel like more of a 'real' character as she shows the character's weaknesses and vulnerabilities. Plus, here she uses her brains for getting out of sticky situations more often than her fists. Hopefully we'll get to see more of her in the role. Great film - don't miss it.

I was disappointed when they didn't come out with the 2nd and 3rd movies in the series. I really enjoyed the books and was looking forward to the movies. Then the 4th installment in the series came out in book form which was then followed by the movie. I really enjoyed the movie and would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the series, or anyone else for that matter. I didn't think that anyone could replace Rooney Mara as Lisbeth but Claire Foy does an admirable job and I was not disappointed in her performance. I keep hoping that the 2nd and 3rd books in the series finally make it to movie form.

The 4th in the series tells the origin story of Lisbeth Salander, a brilliant and tough young woman who lives in the shadows of the electronic age. In this story arc Lisbeth is hired by a former NSA programmer who developed the ultimate computer program that can access nuclear missile codes worldwide. He hires Lisbeth to steal back the program, code name "Firewall", from the NSA which draws attention from them and her dead fathers criminal organization. Soon she finds her sister is now the leader of the organization who will stop at nothing to get there hands on Firewall.

Great sequel to the girl with the dragon tattoo. I loved the original leading lady and wished she'd done this sequel however, the new dragon tattoo warrior did a great job. This story digs into the back ground of our lady of justice and the secrets her family hide. Action violence,mystery and a new twist carries well in this second chapter. I love this movie.

This is a great action film. I have been an Lisbeth fans for many years now. I have read the books, watched all three Swedish versions in movie form and have watched both US movies on the books. This one has great acting and a new vision for the second book. I do, however, like the Swedish versions better than the US versions of the first two books.

I love a mystery that has plot twists that I do not anticipate. This is definitely one of thoses. I loved all the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Trilogy. If you have not seen them, you will still enjoy this, but it is even better if you have seen them all. This movie is definitely a R rating as far as I am concerned. There are scenes of nudity and sexual content. All that taken in consideration I still recommend this for adults.

"The Girl In the Spider's Web" is the latest film about the adventures of Lisbeth Salander. Claire Foy has stepped in the role and she has stolen the show. She has taken the character of Lisbeth and made it her own. It has great action and great cinematography with some pretty stunning shots and some great effects.

An interesting “sequel”, but the stars have all been replaced. Not as raw as the original, but still interesting. Clare Foy does a nice job in the title role, but Rooney Mars was more intense. The replacement for Daniel Craig pales in comparison. However, the story was interesting and I enjoyed the movie

Rooney Mara was superb with Daniel Craig and Stellan Skarsgard in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. This is a worthy next episode. Unlike, the Jason Bourne series though, they didn't keep the same lead throughout, but Clair Foy and an even more authentically Scandinavian cast this time around do a great job.

This is not the Claire Foy of "The Crown." Lisbeth Salander is a true, convincing action character. The movie tracks the book fairly well, but deviates in stressing the disfunction in the Salander family more than the book does. That disfunction is of the worst kind and thus makes this movie rather bleak.

This is another good adaptation of Larsson’s Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series. Salander is a worthy heroine although is this film she is presented with serious challenges that uncharacteristically gets her tail handed to her. Good to follow without reading the books but more enjoyable if you’ve done so.

I've watched this movie twice now and it was good, but I didn't think it as good as the Dragon Tatoo with Daniel Craig & Rooney Mara. And if you watched the Swedish version of the trilogy (which I believe is the best), it just didn't seem to fit in. Still I thought that it was a decent movie.

If you're a fan of the series and have read the book, you'll notice some pretty significant deviations from the book; however, the story is told well and stays true to the overall theme. After all, they need to condense the time and add stuff that makes it more appealing to a movie audience. The acting is great, and the cinematography is impressive.

Lisbeth Salander is a female hacker who goes after sexual predators is hired to steal a program that can hijack nuclear missile control from the NSA. Unfortunately, things get out of control when the program is then stolen from her and she gets help from journalist Mikael Blomkvist to track down the culprits. Lisbeth Salander is based on a Swedish thriller series which ended when the author Stieg Larsson died unexpectedly at a young age. Unlike other Lisbeth Salander novels, this movie avoids a lot of graphic violence and sexual scenes which was quite excessive. Still the movie starts off well, but the plot gets a bit too contrived in the end. Still, it may be a worthwhile viewing.
