...especially with respect to Godfather III - yeah, this movie is not the best of the trilogy (numbers 1 and 2 are tied in my view) but after I listened to Francis Ford Coppola's commentary I understood why he wanted to tell this story. I won't spoil it for other viewers, but do check this out because it's pretty interesting. I occasionally rent movies online, but I prefer to buy the DVD's because I love listening to the commentary.

I had these on VHS; was so glad they put them all together, each movie in one cd case. It's 3 movies that I watch over and over again and never tire of watching them. Great actors, just an overall great movie set. I watched the original Godfather at the theater years ago when it first came out. "Make em an offer they cannot refuse."

Nice to have this Trilogy, great to binge watch. My favorite is the 3rd. You may think that you planned your life out and want to make a change. But there's always fate that changes your plan.

This is a collection of movies that is a must have for your library. Certainly one of the best movies of all time. A movie that can be watched again and again for the great story line and actors for their performances. A very easy " thumbs up " .

I was pleasantly surprised to see this collection at a great price. These seem to be the original uncut versions and a great addition to my DVD library.

The first two Godfather movie are two of the best movies ever made, to bad I was only able to give this collection only 5 stars, it is a ten in every way

I remember seeing all of these movies in the theater. This set brings back a lot of memories. What a fantastic franchise.

What is there to say except this crime saga is amazing

Two Best Picture Oscar winners, and an additional sequel years later, what else can one say? From the Mario Puzo book and screen play, Francis Coppola drew put some of the career best performances by Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, Robert Duval, Diane Keaton, and so many others. These were movies that changed the gangster genre into a higher intellectual level. Oh and so many great death scenes, the horse’s head in bed, and Brando, “I’m gonna make him an offer he can’t refuse.”

I was so pleasantly surprised when I found this during a recent visit to a Best Buy branch. I have been wanting a DVD set of the three classic "Godfather" movies for some time now, but have always found them to be too pricey, ranging from $30 to $60, whether on retail or online; more so if you want this on Blu-Ray. The only drawback of this $10 deal is that this set only contains the three films and does not have the Special Features and Extras. At least, Parts I and II in this set are from the 2008 Coppola Restoration. Thus, they are presented in crystal-clear high-definition.

Marlon Brando, the most realistic Godfather of all: Al Pacino, the shortest mobster since Jimmy Cagney; James Caan, the wildest punk in a crime obsessed family; Robert Duvall, the level-headed consigliere. Mix these ingredients together, with a pinch of Diane Keaton thrown in for added spice, in the cauldron of the lower east side of 1920s Manhattan. Now that you have the choicest ingredients watch the stirring action, intrigues and strategies as the Corleone family rises to the top and tries to maintain its position as The Family in charge of New York's corruption and criminal empire. "Why you talk 'bout Mafia? There ain't no mafia."

You have to have this classic. There are no substitutes. This saga will be watched by your grand children. However, the one thing about this story that the video producers need to seriously consider is re-mastering the "GODFATHER EPIC" version into DVD and BLU-RAY. the "EPIC" version puts the story in "chronological" sequence and has approximately 37 minutes of additional footage. The epic version only relates to I & II. But it is worth it. I have it on VHS Tape, but only a matter of time before deterioration takes hold.
