While there wasn't a definitive positive review, I went in expecting the worst. But from the start, it grabs you, an evolving story in retrospect. The 3D reveal simply adds to the enjoyment, Highly recommended!

This take on the classic novel adds more glamour and a creative cinematography. The fusion of modern beats with classic rag-time & swing makes for a nice soundtrack/score. Some inappropriate moments felt exaggerated and unnecessary.

Being a fan of period movies and owner of a new 4K OLED tv I purchased this disc. The picture is fantastic and to this point is the best of all the 4K blu rays in my collection. Also the movie is better than I expected.

The edits seem overused at times and the background of the green screen looks obvious. The story is great but I wish the editing could've been better.

Read the book and saw this movie back in the theater a few years ago. This 4K Ultra HD disc was a great workout for my SONY 4k xbr75 monitor and Sony Blu Ray 4k player...really enjoyed the movie again!

This is one great movie. All the actors in it are superb. The film has more of a modern 1930's feel. The one thing I really didn't like about it was the fact that the music didn't fit the genre. Other than that I really did enjoy this movie.

This is a great 4K buy, it is a quality acted and directed movie, and so many images are so scintillating in 4K, one of the best movies I’ve seen as far as amazing scenes and images in this format.

I bought this because of the digital copy that it came with. I had an upcoming international flight and gathering things to watch on my iPad. Worked out to be cheaper than buying through iTunes and I get a physical Blu Ray.

While several have said that this movie representation of The Great Gatsby is too flashy, I did not mind it, and actually loved the take on it. Of course, reading the book always brings a new level of viewing for it as well.

It gets a bad rap, but I actually think this film adaptation is excellent. Lots of visual flair while staying true to the novel

Fantastic movie! Good acting, good story, good cinematography. I read the book back in high school (and saw the Robert Redford movie) but I didn't remember the story line. It's one of those films that sticks with you long after it's over.

This is a great movie - much better that the older version. The costumes are true tot he period. But the retelling of the story (Ihave read the book also) is just great. With a well chosen cast, it is a shame that it had to end as it did.

You must like Baz Luhrmann's sometimes zany movie style. Leonardo DiCaprio is more handsome than ever, and Tobey Maguire is perfect in his role as the cousin caught in the middle. Despite knowing the ending, it was impactful.

This movie was excellent. A great adaptation of the book. Great Soundtrack and Screen Play. And of course Leo and Toby are some of the best Actors in the business. Any movie you see with them in it is excellent!!

From the first few moments you get a clear understanding of the style and tone of this film. It's high energy and over the top in every scene drawing upon updated music and visuals. Perfect for 4 K .

very interesting as it is about the mysterious life of a young millionaire and passionate about a former girlfriend. it portrays life in the 20s.,the clothes, the dancing, beautiful parties, etc. But it does end tragically.

Without ruining the story, I must say it is tale of an interesting man with a mysterious past. Everyone has a different idea of who he is, but there is only one thing that is for sure. Gastby isn't good, he's great!

I really enjoy the way it transports the viewer to the height of glamorous, Art Deco dripping affluent New York. Then powerfully shows the contrast with the poor and "have nots" trying to scrape out a living. Beautifully done!

Absolutely love this remake with some very cool modern background music. My 15year old Granddaughter loved it and invited friends over to watch it again the next day. Became a big conversation topic.
