I thought this was a typical sehore or even a Reeves visit to the early nineties screen movies stuck teenage stuck in the woods and whatnot but wow the director and writer knew what they were doing I was offered a great price for such a surprising and enjoyable films.

I love horror. Some of my favorite films of all time are horror films and I'm always eager awaiting a new film to sink my teeth into. The problem is that nothing in today's world of retreads and reboots adds anything new to the genre and it seems like everything has already been done. That's what makes this film produced by the late great Wes Craven so special. Not only is it a remake of the original 1977 film, but it actually surpasses the original in almost every way. This film will keep you on the edge of your seat! Suspenseful, disgusting, horrifying in every way, this is a film that I have seen at least a dozen times and will easily watch a dozen more. They just don't make remakes like this!

My shopping experience at BestBuy was very pleasant... I received my order quicker than the estimated delivery time... This movie was clear in standard dvd but the Blu-Ray version is too real to be true.... You can actually see the details of the special-effects make-up unlike never before... Everything from the audio & video were enchanced to crystal clear clarity... The comparsion scenario is like a Jimi Hendrix song on an 8-track or original cassette tape versus remastered on a enhanced Cd... I highly recommend this movie on Blu-Ray from BestBuy..

I saw parts of this movie when it was playing on The Movie Channel or Cinemax, I'm not sure. It has some very creepy parts and for the most part, was entertaining. Kind of makes you not want to be caught driving around in an unfamiliar desert.

This is a update of the original. But this one doesn't try to outclass the original it just tries to bring it up to date with technology. So I appreciate the attempt to keep this true to the classic version.

The Hills Have Eyes in my opinion is a fine remake. It's not a masterpiece, but it's definitely not awful. It is a fun movie to watch with friends around Halloween.

Hideous creatures, an unsuspecting family and a killer( in a good way) German shepherd ! Lots of carnage in a very good remake of Wes Craven's original!

This horror film is a classic and absolutely kills and crushes the original upon which it is based. Just simply mesmerizing and horrific from beginning to end. And what an ending...

Grusome movie, might be tough for the weaker stomach viewer but a good homage to the original in a modern remake.

This is how a remake should be done. It is not a shot for shot remake of the original but almost a new story. Just watch and enjoy. Not for kids

If you aren't squeamish, this remake of the Wes Craven film is relentlessly unmerciful and extremely intense. A family is stranded in the desert or are they? Highly recommended.

A remake the way it should be done. Not a reboot of the original but an actual remake that tried to improve on the mistakes of the original. Great horror film.

This movie scares me because it's not abojt zombies or any sci-fi story, it's something i can actually see happening in some remote part of the desert. A must watch!

The transfer for this film isn't the best but the movie is still great. One of the best horror remakes still to date.

this may not be a horror movie in general but it is a creepy movie overall with good suspenes and nice horror sences

Not quite as good as the original but as far as remakes go this is definitely one of the better ones out there.
