The Hobbit movies, while certainly not as strong as The Lord of the Rings, are fun adventure movies in their own right. The 4k upgrade is definitely worth it for HDR and Dolby Atmost. The overabundance of CGI compared to LOTR is a weakness of these films, but they have never looked better than they do here. The steelbook packaging for this set is beautiful.

I didn’t catch the Hobbit series in theaters. But I’m happy watching the trilogy at home with the Steelbook set. I’m impressed with the 4k picture quality and Dolby Atmos audio. Picture quality much better than the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I was lucky to get a set with no dents or dings on the outer case.

Excellent Trilogy!! BUYER BEWARE: Best Buy is extremely lazy & will not use bubble wrap when shipping. Will likely be received damaged like mine and several others were. It's upsetting that a multi billion dollar Corporation can be so careless but the little guy selling on Ebay cares enough to use.

Although The Hobbit has its detractors, I always enjoyed it. They did integrate additional elements to tie it in to The Lord of the Rings that were not a part of the book, but I didn't have any issue with that. These remasters look and sound simply amazing. Well worth the upgrade to 4K.

A perfect collectors piece for the ultimate Lord of the rings fan. These are classic movies that could never be made today due to insane political agendas and diversity inclusion initiatives. These films are sacred and deserve every penny required to purchase them.

Great steelbooks, and the case as well. Complements well the LOTR trilogy well. Though The Hobbit is not quite on the same level, it's fine. Plus once you got the LOTR trilogy, you're pretty much need to get these as well.

Collector Edition for all 6 movies is suppose to be released soon, curious if its worth the price and for what you get. This is the perfect backup which is why I bought this now in case it goes out of stock again. Fantastic series, obviously LOTR > Hobbit.

Great price at the time of purchase. Already had The Lord of the Rings, They look great together on the movie shelf. Not a huge fan of some of the add on stuff but I get it. They are fun to watch.

Beautiful set! Honestly, a pleasure to own. Metal slipcover was a bit of a pain, though, as it typically got damaged regardless of how Best Buy Shipped it (outside of well-packed boxes--which they never did). But still, better to own than not.

LOTR fans need this! It was for a great price and I now have 4k and also Digital versions of this! In great shape and will take a long time to watch as we all know! This is one of my best box Steelcase sets to date!

Excellent packaging. The steelbooks are housed snug in the awesome metal housing. It looks great next to the Lord of the Rings one. There are no special features included so if you want the apendacies you'll have to buy the Blu-ray extended trilogy seperately.

I never had this collection because I like the first 3 that were release, (Lord of the Rings), this one is sort of Buy them to complete the set type of deal. And I do collect steenboks and eventually I'll need a new tv which will obviously be a 4K tv someday.

This new 4K release looks better to me than any previous video release. The special effects look more smooth and realistic, and the Atmos soundtrack makes it sound better than it did when I saw these films in the theater. I think this is a top notch release!

The Hobbit Trilogy is best compilation of movies ever! Outside of Game of Thrones (GOT), there is no better set of movies that touches your heart! Froda and Gandoff still make the movie work!

This is an absolute must for any lord of the rings and the hobbit fans. Must have for any movie collector period. You get both the theatrical and extended editions and wow 4K truly make this movies even more amazing. Worth every penny.

A reluctant Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, sets out to the Lonely Mountain with a spirited group of dwarves to reclaim their mountain home, and the gold within it from the dragon Smaug. These movies are not the best but the pic quality is top notch

The Hobbit in all ita grorgrous glory! Never have these films so good! The 4k remaster is stellar. And the packaging is the same as its predecessor LOTR. Excellent packaging, excellent films, great price. Highly recommend.

Great collection! The LOTR & Hobbit Collections look magnificent and are well designed. Hope shipping gets fixed with steelbooks though because a lot of people have issues with damaged movies.

Just like The Lord of the Rings set this set is just as unbelievable! What a great job in the packaging and the presentation. This will probably be the best these films ever get so grab them now. If you are a fan you can't go wrong.

This is a great 4k transfer with an exquisite packaging; if you're an avid lotr fan this is a must have. Avoid having it shipped to your house if you can and pick it up at a store location instead. Going through the mail it will get crushed or dented.
