The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies concludes the epic journey of Bilbo Baggins of the Shire and his legion of Dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield, under the guidance of Gandalf the Wizard, with a powerful, emotional finish. It begins right where part II left off, and wastes little time building towards the incredible war that is about to take place for the treasures of the Lonely Mountain. Thorin must decide if he should live in his Grandfather's footsteps and horde all of the gold that is rightfully his, or listen to his solemn friends at the end of their dangerous journey to reclaim their home. The Bard and his townsfolk want only enough of the treasure to rebuild their fire scorned town, while the Elves want their cut of the diamonds, and yet the Orcs and Goblins, led by Azog the Defiler, wish to claim this Mountain fortress for its strategic position in the land, under their master Sauron, who is confronted by Galadriel, Gandalf, Elrond and Saruman. When the Dwarf army enters the fray, war becomes inevitable despite the pleas of the burglar Hobbit, Bilbo and his golden ring of invisibility. Tamriel (smoothly weaved into the story and an original character not in the J.R.R. Tolkien Book) lends her support along with the expert marksman Legolas, as she must decide if Kili, the Dwarf she is taken with, will be worth pursuing during this great war. The expertly filmed battle endures through most of the film, yet keeps the audience compelled as we fight alongside our heroes and villains, while their stories unfold one last time.

With so many versions of the Lord of the Rings out and all of them steelbooks or extended cuts, it's nice that they released the Hobbit as a set so I didn't have to buy these movies 3-4 times each. The Steelbook is gorgeous and a welcome addition to my collection.

This Blue Ray trilogy is a great addition to any Hobbit Fan's collection! All three movies are excellent quality and come in a nice case. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great gift for a Hobbit fan or for any Hobbit fan who just wants to add to their collection.

Not only are the steel books very nice and durable, the movies themselves are awesome. I went to a close bestbuy store and they showed in stock. No associate could find any so after waiting over 40 minutes, I had to drive 45 minutes to another store. They showed none online.

This is a more rare STEELBOOK called Jumbo they are made in less quantity and are generally more expensive because they are usually packaged with movie or tv collections. Of all the STEELBOOK that Best Buy has released this is only the 5th Jumbo. Buy it before it sells out

I waited for the final movie in the trilogy to buy one of the collections that I knew would come out eventually. I bought this one as soon I saw it. The quality is great like all the Steelbooks I've purchased. Great Pick up. Highly recommended.

AQ and PQ for the movies are reference quality, and the features are pretty good for the theatrical versions of the movies. I find the unique packaging to be a nice alternative to the standard Blu-ray packaging, with very nice artwork.

What would have made this release more interesting, would be if they had specially made an edit/cut of the movies into one super movie, combining all three together for one continuous adventure.

Got this for the exclusive, great packaging. Also gives several formats to which to watch the movie. Recommended. The Steelbook packaging sells out quickly and is hard to find.

If you like LOTR, you'll enjoy the Hobbit as well! The steel collectors edition case looks great in my collection. I love the trilogy! Right up there with LOTR and Star Wars!

Great to have all the Hobbit films in one set especially in an exclusive collectible steelbook package. The only thing I wish is that we got the extended versions, but of course the studio is going to release that set at a later date to get more money from us. Personally, this is the only set I will be buying of this trilogy.

My entire family loved this movie! It was filled with so much action and was great! I love the entire series! The steel book case on this was also pretty awesome.

The movies were well based from the book. Although a it graphic at times, the movies are well suited for older family viewing. Great scenery and special effects.

The movies are good, but the reason to pay extra for this set as opposed to the regularly packaged trilogy is the SteelBook. Well worth the extra price.

This item is great for collectors. And the movie is also amazing. A must watch. This item is only sold at best buy. They had several when I got mines.

Adaptation is quite good, although screenplay contains characters and plot lines not in the book. I still enjoy watching all 3 segments/movies

Great packaging and bounding. This will be awesome to have next to my LOTR collection and will do until the extended triliogy pack is released.

This trilogy is really good and one of the best. All three together are just as great as original.

This Collector's edition set is great, has Blu-ray and digital copy, i have to say this is one of my favorite sets. All three movies!
