As a veteran Submariner, this is a classic movie for us. The Blu-Ray is much better than the originaldvd release. Looking firward to viewing in 4K when I can get both the 4K TV & 4K player. It’s also an anniversary collection.

The 4K video is a nice, clean conversion for this now 35 year old movie! The TrueHD sound provides the immersive experience we all strive for. Definitely highly recommended!

I've always loved this movie. Connery with one of his best characters. The soundtrack is also great. Just brings me back to solid movie making.

This movie is an instant classic in my book. It is a book to movie film by the author Tom Clancy. With a star studded cast and Cutting edge CGI for the time I dont see how anybody who is even slightly into the topic at hand wouldnt like this title and want to make it a part of their collection.

The Hunt for Red October is a great classic movie. It looks amazing in 4k. One of the best films of Sean Connery. If you haven't seen this movie. Buy the movie and enjoy it. They don't make movies like this anymore.

Upgraded this to 4K from an old full screen DVD. Not quite the same results I expected from doing the same with other old DVDs but still a great movie.

Amazing film. Great 4K picture and sound. This is a classic film that really hasn’t aged at all. Well made , script, acting all solid. Based on the Tom Clancy novel of the same name.

Tom Clancy's novel on the big screen. It's well acted, it has great sets. The only thing I wish they did was use Russian in the film with subtitles. They only did this very rarely but kept the Russians speaking English - I assume for the general audience.

Great movie, but sound jumps up and down can't tell if it is intended or part of the sound track having a problem. It is not just music or action that jumps up and down. One second you can hear a conversation the next you have to turn it up. Then the dark sections of the disc are very muddy on my TV it may just be I have to upgrade the TV.

Great movie on 4k. Very dark movie being in a submarine so definitely will look the best on an oled tv.

A great cast in a Jack Ryan movie. The story line is great and Alec Baldwin to me is the best actor for portraying the role of Jack Ryan. Sean Connery is great, too, in this movie.

Back on Classic with a beautiful new transfer on 4k . The Best way to see this movie is definitely the 4k . Highly recommended for any 90s movies buff

I have watched this movie over 100 times and it never gets old. On this 4K version, the colors are so real, its like watching a new movie. the sound is amazing on my 7 channel surround system.

I have owned the VHS tape of this movie for many years. I was so happy to get it at Best Buy for a great price on DVD !! I really appreciate the rewards program, as it saves me so much money on my movie collection .

When I heard it was coming out on 4k I had to get this. I read the book along time ago and seen the movie when it came out. Played the 4k a bit and the sound was outstanding. Highly recommended

This has been a favorite movie for our family for many years. I bought the dvd last year at Best Buy--also at a bargain price!--for one of my sons. This blu-ray I bought for a different son recently. Please keep having good sales on movies!!

This is a fantastic movie directed well by a great director. It’s a fantastic thriller adaptation of the novel. It is a must see movie. It has a all star cast; all with great performances.
