This is a great movie. It still holds up for me. Its funny with lots of one liners and action. If you haven't seen it you might just want to watch this movie. Its worth the time.

If you're like me, you're reading this because you either heard about how bad it is or you've already seen it and wanted to get a copy because it was so bad. There is just so much wrong with this that I can't pick just one thing, you literally have to see it to know. The plot is simple enough, though confusing at times. The basic story is there was a huge galactic war and now there are only 6 planets left in all of the galaxy that have water and the enemy controls them all. Still not sure how only 6 planets only have water, but I digress, that is one of the confusing parts, among the others. The Ice Pirates attack and plunder the cargo ships of their precious ice (easier to transport the water, I suppose?). One such ship is also transporting a princess, whom the captain instantly falls in love with, even though it doesn't show at first. The rest of the movie is just one big car wreck that has caused a train wreck, it has to be seen to be believed and you simply can't look away as it happens. Along with racism, bad robots, space herpes (yes), castrations, and a twist ending that makes no sense, this is a movie that you will remember fondly... whether you want to or not.

A very funny movie I've seen this movie before. I really enjoyed it I know I'll watch this DVD over and over again.

Love this movie! I remember first seeing it on TV on the SyFy Channel...yeah, it is a bit cheesy at times but what 80's movie wasn't? It's a classic 80's Science Fiction movie with comedy in it and just a great fun kind of movie that's just a blast to watch....Highly recommended!!

If you go into viewing with an open mind and understanding of the concept then you will be entertained...for such and old movie with old school cheesy effects, the film looks good on Blu-ray! If only all older movies could be presented so well. All in all it is just a fun B-movie that has aged gracefully thankfully to Blu-ray

I've been looking for this movie on DVD for over a decade in stores but I was only able to find it on VHS until now. I'm amazed that Best Buy had it in stock and shipped it to me so fast. 5-star service.

i came across this on youtube and watched some clips then saw it was on sale. and bought this what a fun movie.

Ever since I first saw Ice Pirates when it first came out I have enjoyed watching it. Granted it isn't an oscar winner but, it is enjoyable to watch with some amusing moments like the fight sequence finale.

For people that remember this movie it is more a cult favorite. With some amazing actors in it before they hit it big. If you know the movie this is a great way to see it again on Blu Ray

Fun sci-fi Adventure comedy . Definitely worth a watch .

It's action, adventure, comedy, drama, sci-fi, all rolled into a wonderful movie. This Blu-Ray transfer must have been carefully remastered, it looks great.

Love the movie, great price, I'm definitely buying more from Best buy.

Do yourself a favor and get it, take it for what it is and wnjoy.
