Customers have good things to say about the gameplay, VR experience, and story in "The Inpatient." Many also enjoyed the game's horror elements and jump scares, while some found the price reasonable. However, a few customers mentioned difficulties with the controls. Overall, the positive feedback on the immersive VR experience and engaging story outweighs the negative comments about the controls.

I would consider this a playable movie because you don't do much besides move and interact with objects. The story is quite good and the gameplay is adequate with the move controllers. It is as long as a movie and you can play it again to get different outcomes. It is not a must play, but enjoyable for Supper Massive Games fans.

Caught this on clearance. Was hesitant on purchasing this game, but since it was on clearance, why not. It’s a great game if you like horror suspense. It’s even better since it’s VR. Will give you a chilling sensation down your back from time to time.

This is a very good and entertaining VR game. Not sure why people are complaining . This game it supposed to be played again and again to get the different out comes. You can use your own voice to interact with the in game NCP. its fun tense and scary at some points. Its a mystery story. I loved it. VR are is evolving into a great new game mechanic. I find it hard to go back to 2D. I would recommend this game to anyone.

I bought this game as a gift for my son but ended up playing it too. Indian gift giver maybe? I love the VR games but they take some getting use to. I don’t get nauseous easy but I do make sure I eat before playing. You will get conditioned as you play regularly. I had no idea what this game was at first but I was pleasantly surprised it’s the prequel to Until Dawn. I played this game 4 full times and is pretty simple to get platinum trophy. I had a blast playing this.

This game is not for people who like jump scares or dumb slasher flicks like Until Dawn was. This takes a more mature approach to horror so its not going to be or everyone. This game is a slow burn and about the decay of a human mind. This is probably the best looking title for playstation VR right now. Like i said it isn't for everyone if you love your kiddy jump scares this game isn't for you. If your looking for more Until Dawn look else where and if your a mature adult who enjoys a good story with a slow burn into crazy then sit back and enjo

A VR adventure game with cool audio tricks

The Inpatient is a VR choose-your-own adventure set 60 years before the game Until Dawn. The game is very simple, with mostly conversations driving the gameplay. However, it has very good positional audio, which makes the scary sections very frightening. Additionally, they have a cool feature where you can actually speak the conversational choices in the game. It's very minor to be sure, but it helps draw you into the gameplay.

Great voice acting and use of VR. Also very good story - especially if you enjoyed Until Dawn. Very short, though, but worth it if you get it on sale.

This game is quite short and isn't as exciting as recent AAA titles, but if you get it for a fair price, it is a worthy addition to your PSVR system. It probably would have been easy for the developer to make a VR game with a lot of cheezy jump scares, but this title goes for a more intellectual direction, resulting in a pretty intriguing story. But as I mentioned, it is quite short, but if you can get it for under $15, that's about what movie theater tickets would cost in a big city, and the experience is more immersive.

It's short (about 2 hours) but it's made for multiple playthroughs as your choices change the outcome of the story (just completed it for the 3rd time). Best played with motion controllers. It's a bit slow and not too scary but great atmosphere and immersion. Worth the 12$ bucks I paid!

Great game - very scary with lots of suspense. The VR makes it terrifying (in a great way). I wish the game was a little longer, it only lasted about two hours, but at least I can play again. I recommend changing the rotation setting on the main screen, otherwise your movements are very choppy and can make you dizzy.

This game is good but short. Fortunately, like Until Dawn, there is a high replay value. With it being short, it does not have as many pathways, but you can easily play through in a sitting. It's an interesting first VR game to test the sensation if you have motion issues.

So I got this game as a gift and thought it would be a decent vr game but the story is creepy but in a good way. I honestly loved this game and thought it had a interesting story behind it. I also work in mental health so it kinda scared me going into work the next day.

I think expectations are too high that every game be a block buster. This game is fun though short VR game with horror elements. Far from perfect but still enjoyable, not unlike a b movie.

Awesome story told in VR. Find out what lead to the effects of Until Dawn. Great visuals. No pop ins. Music sound effects all great. Multiple endings. Must own VR title.

I have enjoyed the gameplay thus far. I purchased the PS Platinum headphones at the same time to add an extra layer of immersion to this game and I have enjoyed the shock freight moments. Like most VR games the are short which is my only gripe.
