Really enjoyed the movie and it keeps you interested.

This movie has a great story line and lots of action.

Wanted another movie to build up my collection. Haven't watched it yet so the review is more for the packaging and time it took to arrive which could have been better in both aspects.

Typical Michael Bay flick with a couple of excellent action scenes. Stylistically similar to bad boys and transformers. Solid action and effects.

To close to reality in these current times and a younger Scarlett Johansson for a bonus.

Fast moving futuristic movie but basically your typical couple on the run story.

It's an action movie. And it's pretty entertaining. Worth the $7 price tag.

I purchased this movie but I don't remember a darn thing about it

This is an action movie in disguise of a movie that is trying to show you the bad side of human beings. The Island is about people living in a secure environment convinced that they are the sole survivors of a contamination to the outside world. But are they? The Island touches on the touchy subject of human cloning, and how strong really is the human desire to live, and live as long as you possibly can. If you want to get into a film that will definitely get you thinking about your morals and ethics, while delivering some pretty huge action scenes, then The Island is a must have. A scary movie about what the future of technology could possibly lead to. A must see.

Despite the fact that Michael Bay gets lots of flack as a director, I believe that some of his movies are better than people give them credit for. Armageddon is a not-so-guilty pleasure, Transformers is surprisingly enjoyable compared to its sequels, and The Rock is a bona-fide classic of the action genre. So when making this movie, he decided to go in a different direction, slowing down the pace to give a more thought-provoking sci-fi movie. Unfortunately, about halfway in he gives up and gives in to his "Michael Bay" formula, but luckily it's actually well done. The car chase is reminiscent of the one in "Bad Boys II", but can still stand on its own, and despite borrowing plot points from various other sci-fi movies, it proves to be more than just a typical Michael Bay film. For all of its flaws, it still stands as one of, if not the best, of Michael Bay's movies.

"The Island" will be available for the first time on Blu-ray High Definition: June 21st!!! Michael Bay is mostly known for his Sci-Fi Action franchise "Transformers", but just before he jumped on that 6-Year wagon, he directed "The Island". Filled to the brimm with Michael Bay's raw and gritty style, "The Island" dares to take a simple Sci-Fi premise and expand it into an action film (As Michael Bay does best). There is no doubt that The Island has it's faults, but the film takes a chilling idea and makes it real. Ewan McGreggor does a great job in the lead performance. And the supporting cast is full of great stars. Check this one out.

This movie has a well-known plot twist, which, if you are unaware of it, makes the beginning fascinating. And even if you know the twist, the beginning is still interesting and holds up to multiple re-viewings. All the actors do a great job, the special effects are amazing, and there is a liberal dose of humor sprinkled throughout the movie. This movie has never looked or sounded better than on blu ray, and there are 3 featurettes worth watching, as well as a very insightful commentary track with director Michael Bay. I really enjoyed this purchase!

Much better than expected as this was a blind purchase for me. I love the transition between the "glass bubble" almost perfect settings and what lurks just beyond their walls. A costly discovery for innocent human beings involved in a well planned but no perfect futuristic grand scheme. Great casting both Ewan and Scarlett. Another A+ Hit by Michael Bay.

This is a fun, exciting chase movie that has a very good plot and good writing. It is nice to see a Michael Bay film with a very good story and character development. But for those who also love chases, explosions, and action, the second part of the film does not fail to deliver on that. Overall the picture and the sound on the blu ray look and sound amazing. Worth checking out for sure

This is a movie that not many know about but overall really good. A surprise. Very inventive, not so outlandish - even though it's sci-fi. Gets you involved as it develops. Humorous at times. Lots of action and anticipation.

The movie has a lot of action, some comedy and plenty of drama. I like the surprises in the movie. I can't say much with out giving too much away

Fun action movie. Not Bay's best, not his worst either. Wished there was more done with the character development but overall a fun movie.
