Some 4K discs shine while most others just are ok. This one definitely shines on the format with beautiful picture and detail. Not bad for an early 80’s movie. This 4K disc will not disappoint!

one of my favs from the 1980's. I was really happy to see this one on sale at Bestbuy. It was in 4K too so I was really happy to been able to add this one to my collection.

This is an excellent film. I really enjoyed watching the film via 4k, the special features with the whole family. I feel it’s a treasure to past down to the next generation.

It is nice seeing the Karate Kid get the 4k treatment it deserves. It's almost a complete longshot the sequels will garner this much attention, but this film never looked better

I loved the 4K presentation. Colors look bolder, small details are more noticeable and a nice layer of grain. The sound really gets a boost with a Dolby Atmos track.

Classic, have seen it many times since I was a teenager in '84. Always enjoy it! Excellent 4 k transfer. Pat Morita is wonderful as Mr. Miyagi. Buy it, you'll love it!!

The story about a kid who rises above being bullied is just as poignant as it was then as it is now. Great to see this classic restored in 4K. Looks better than ever.

The Karate Kid 1984..... What else can I say? Cult classic movie that brought back great memories of being a kid. I don't have a 4HD player, but I just may get one.

Not only is this a classic film that belongs in every collection but the 4K release is absolutely worthwhile. It has never looked or sounded better than it does now.

It is always nice to see an older movie get a quality upgrade like this. If you liked the DVD/VHS version of this movie definitely check out the 4K upgrade.

My favorite movie of all time. I love the characters, the story and the setting in time it took place. Owning this 35th Ultra 4K DVD was a must have!

Yes, I know this is 35 years old, but both the Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD versions are so crisp and sound marvelous...I am so pleased with this set.

The Karate Kid arrives on 4k UHD in a very nice transfer both video and audio. The movie brings back memories from back when it was released.

Compared to the Blu-ray, it's more stable, more naturally filmic, sharper, and its colors are richer without fundamentally changing the movie's basic and critical tonal foundations alike. This is another top-flight winner of a UHD catalogue release from Sony, the best around!

This is one of my favorite films, and probably the best one in the franchise. I definitely recommend adding this to your collection.

But i want the others karate kid movies on 4k too. I would skip the remake but if it gets the others out on 4k...bring it.

Sony hits it out of the park again. This 4K transfer of this classic film is a sight to behold. The audio is pretty great as well.
