One more movie set on Mars which just doesn't quite work. This film borrows heavily from several other space exploration movies with a little bit of zombie action thrown in. The visuals are good enough, but there is a been there & seen that feel to most of the film with the cliche of smart people acting really dumb. Liev Schreiber is as good as he can be with such a 1 dimensional character. Fun enough if your expectations are fairly low.

I enjoy all types of Sci-Fi movies, the good and sometimes the bad especially if it involves outer space travel. This movie was just ok for me; it had a few exciting moments, however it did not fulfill all of my fantasies. It is however, part of my collection and I will view it again after I have forgotten the story-line. The story line could have gained more traction if it involved the actual return to earth with the unknown virus and perhaps even tied it into the "living dead" movies that seem to explode in recent movies.

Okay so it becomes another zombie survivalst movie. But it is done well and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Another what happens when man pushes the boundaries outside of earth. Somewhat new twist on what causes the people to degenrate into zombie like creatures and then go rampaging to suck the water out of other humans on Mars. Yes, you guessed it a virus/bacteria type infection. Twist is they die and the bacteria reanimates them and uses them as a host vessel to move to other feeding grounds. Classic SciFi story convention. Liev Schreiber rules the movie. Other characters are intersting if not cliched.

I found it entertaining. As one who falls asleep to movies every night (god bless the sleep timer), I managed to watch this all the way through. I fall asleep during great movies from time to time, so that says something. They do a great job in completing a good number of story arcs out of the total amount of story arcs introduced to keep interest up, especially considering the budget that this film had. Good effects, workable story, 2 hours entertained.

I bought this Bluray because it was on sale. I enjoyed movies like Moon and Mission to Mars and this was enjoyable like those. Acting was good(I like Live), special effects were good but the story wasn't that great. Like I said, it was ok. It kept you involved and was worth watching. Don't think I will watch it again so rent it before you buy it.

My boyfriend had been talking about this movie for a while now. Every year I have him make a birthday wish list of things he wants for his birthday, and this movie was in the top 5 items on the (long) list he gave me. So I bought it for him and he was thrilled. He has already watched it twice and is insisting I watch it with him. He loves it and recommends it to friends.

This mission to Mars does not really deviate away from any other thriller space plot. I did enjoy the movie, but you knew what was going to happen before it happened when it came to the suspenseful parts. I did like the look of the sets and vehicles however and it was no less entertaining than most space thrillers.

This movie is not like Europa Report or like Moon or Sunshine, all great science fiction films done as small independent movies with a relatively small budget. This film has its flaws namely being the internal conflicts from the mission crew and the lack of any story. I felt like the viewer is thrown in to the middle of a situation without knowing anything that led up to it. I did not expect a lot of action but I felt like it was hard to find any likable character that you actually feel concern about. It reminded me of a twilight zone or outer limits episode and I found the dialogue to contain too much swearing coming from a group of scientists hired to perform tests on Mars. However it did keep my attention thru out the film so I gave it a relatively high rating. I hope to see more from this director in the future.

Very disappointed. I mean the acting was OK and the Cinemaphotography was above par, but all of that really needed a plot to hang on which was not there. I bought it because I had a new HD TV, the actor and this blu ray was cheap.

Interesting movie. Took a well worn SyFy plotline and freshened it a bit. Schreiber's acting made the movie for me. Also good work from the supporting cast. Effects work was very good. The sets were actually believablly done, not looking like something thrown togther on the studio's back lot.

This is a lower budget film by not a well-known company. The movie was OK, but drug on way too long. If you're a fan of science fiction, you may get some enjoyment out of this movie. If not, you probably won't like it.

Nothing new.It could be better, when I saw promotionals and the company who made it, I said definitly I want to see it. But what a disappointment.

Sci-fi fans will be a little "been there seen that..." in their thoughts on this film - nonetheless Liev Schreiber fans will appreciate his efforts here because he carries the film.

This was a black Friday, too good to pass on price. I had seen the trailer and it looked good, but the movie is a bore and kinda sucks. Can't win them all. Check out Black Death or Centurion from the same studio for good films.

I got this movie on sale and I'm glad I did. If I had spent more I would have felt ripped off. Low expectations and you won't be too disappointed.

The visual effects were on a par with modern sci-fi. However, the acting was below par. The 'zombie' like makeup was little better than average too.

Great Movie, like sci-fi movies. I usually rent movies first before I buy as many are to "B" rated. This one just happened to be on sale and took a chance. I think I will keep it for my collection.

The movie needs more to the reason of what had happened there before life ended, and not make it look like an old fashion zombie si-fi we see daily.

I liked this movie because it rocked my pants off! I was jumpin out my chair to the action I was justa seein' on da' screen! It was awesome. Buy this movie if you like rockin space flicks!

We wanted so much more from a great cast. Just simply too slow, and not enough action for a scifi action movie.
