I ordered and received all 3 seasons of this series. I enjoy watching it with my adult son who is a history fanatic.

I enjoyed the books but it has been long enough that I don't know how closely the show followed them and was able to enjoy the show as its own story. Excellent adventure of the early days of England with the Saxons versus the Danish invaders and Christian versus heathen. Highly recommend it.

A wonderful work of fiction if not but a little historical in telling. Based on actual people of history with latitude in actual telling of their stories and some characters loosely based on a real person, this is an exciting series along the lines of History channel's "Vikings" by Michael Hirst.

I am probably a little bias on this end as I love these period piece dramas and epics. Altogether though this was actually very entertaining and you cannot go wrong with a little nostalgic periods.

If you passed up The Last Kingdom (based on the excellent period novel by Bernard Cornwell) here's your chance to see it. Beautifully produced, with excellent production values, it's definitely worth your time.

Your missing out if you’ve never watched this. My wife and I marathon 4 seasons and we’re bummed we didn’t have more. When season 4 drops here soon we’ll be adding that to our collection and waiting for season 5 to air.

worthy video of Bernard Cornwell;s great series. Started slow but built to a satisfying exposition. Looking forward to more Uhtred as he ages into the great warrior he eventually becomes.

This series is completely unique and different from the Vikings which is why I like it, The setting and music theme takes you away from real life and you feel like you have taken back in time. You will not be disappointed.

Loved! Bought this after watching Outlander. Great story line, lots of killing but that's just how it was back in those days. Hope they keep the story going.

I'm not up on Saxon/Viking history but found it interesting and a bit bloody. The contrast between Christian and pagan was a bit confusing at times.

Keeps you at the edge of your seat! I have a love for all things history and adaptations to it as well as the Vikings so it didn't disappoint!

Amazing show, very authentic looking and great acting, highly recommend. It keeps you on the edge of your seat at times. Well worth the purchase.

I haven't watched the entire series, yet, but, so far I have really enjoyed the first three episodes that I have seen.

As a British history buff and Anglophile, I found this very interesting and "fun"! I enjoyed it very much.

This film is interesting in that it covers a period in English History not usually found in other movies

It took me awhile to really get into this show, but I'm getting there. And it was worth the wait.

A WELL-MADE, WELL-ACTED MOVIE. STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WHO LOVES ENGLAND & HER HISTORY.

When short on time to read the books DVD serves as alternate to the story

Dramatically paced drama with beautiful picture and sound. One of the best drama's that I have seen recently. It is at the same level as Vikings.

Enjoyed the BBC TV series that involved the Vikings and the Last Kingdom of England.
