If you love the story of the first last of us... this story will get to you just like the first one I can’t say anything bad about it..

The game is amazing great story. And the figurine is really big and cool. The pins are a nice touch too.

Bought this as a gift and they thought it was pretty awesome. Really good quality as well.

The Last of Us is one of my favorite games of all time! So I was excited for a sequel. TLoU2 got leaked and got a lot of hate before release. I had it spoiled and the hate was turning me off from playing it. My curiosity got the best of me and I had to play it for myself. I ended up really enjoying it. It's not as good as the first game. I found issues with certain parts of the story and some of its characters but it's still an enjoyable game. The story is good, aside from the issues I had and characters like Ellie and even Abby are great. Definitely not as bad as people made it out to be. If you enjoyed the first game, you should give the sequel a shot. If you're still iffy, wait for a price drop but don't skip it. Collector's Edition comes with a a steelbook with great art of Ellie and Abby. I think it's a much better than the actual cover. An art book, which I like looking at art of games and some cool goodies if you're a fan of the game. The main star of the package, aside from the game, is the statue of Ellie. It's a great looking statue. If I ended up not liking the game, I would still display it as I love Ellie as a character and I like her design in the sequel. The statue is also massive! I had picked out a spot for it in advanced. Upon seeing how big it is, I had to rethink that. Happy with my purchase, overall.

Continuation of the first game (in case you can't tell from the title). Core gameplay is the same, but they've added more mobility and enhanced enemy AI to make for a more realistic scenario. Still story driven game. Has linear progression, and is not full open world similar to first game, but the levels are larger and if you explore you get more rewards/resources. Integration of story and gameplay is really good and gets you immersed in the world -Story/Plot: Story takes place 5 years after the first game where Ellie and Joel are now in a safe community and has settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Main focus is on Ellie this time around, but you play multiple characters getting there perspectives through timeline jumps/flashbacks. Starts off with Ellie trying to uncover the truth about what happened at the end of the Last of Us (part 1) then it goes into revenge quest as opposing groups gets involved. Character development and motivation are realistic seeing the situation/mindset they're in. As you play, you question if Ellie's motives are rational or not, seeing her lust for revenge The Punisher (Marvel) style. Amazing emotional experience when you couple it with gameplay. Theme of the game is revenge as you go into two character's different perspectives on it and how they deal with the thought of vengeance giving parallel life situations Graphics and audio are really good. Very high production value. A lot of environmental detail (foliage, snow dropping down tree branches as you pass them) and realistic facial expressions. Sound track and ambient sound are excellent; best played with headset or 5.1 surround sound. -Gameplay: Able to adjust individual difficulty settings: Overall, Player, Enemies, Allies, Stealth and Resources from very light to survivor difficulty. There are 60+ settings, vision and visual accessibility for those who have disabilities. Even if you don't have disabilities, you can take advantage of them for combat or finding collectables Core gameplay remains the same from the first game with some enhancements There's a dedicated jump button giving verticality options to fights and environmental puzzles Evade mechanics for hand-on-hand battles. Dodge animation change depending on enemies attack and angle they swing their weapon Ellie learned to swim this time, but a boat is required traverse large body of water Able to squeeze trough gaps while standing or go prone on her stomach. Rope used for traversal and problem solving Can break windows via bricks or melee attacks If hit by arrow, it'll be harder to aim and disable listen mode until you stop and take arrow out Dog enemies have sense of perception. You must worry about their scent and can't stay in one place for long There are new enemy infected types More environmental interactions with objects during battle AI communicate better. They call out each other by name and mourn for them or get angry/aggressive when you kill them There are more craftable items, must decide what to craft due to limited resources given New craftable items include trap mines, stun bombs, explosive arrows, silencers, bullets, among others There are expanded skill trees like precision, survival, crafting, stealth. To get new skills you must collect pills and to expand skill tree you must collect survival magazines. You cannot upgrade everything in one playthrough(or at least from my experience, may be I didn't explore as much) so you have to pick-and-choose. This time you collect hero cards instead of comic books Level design in this game is really good. Levels are more larger than the first game, giving different branching paths to reach your set destination. There is much fewer environmental puzzles this time around (maybe because Ellie can swim now lol); makes the game flow more smoother Has a New Game Plus Overall one of the best games on the PS4. I've never bought a collector's edition for a video game before, and man am I glad this was my first. First of all, the game is incredible and devastating, and second of all I get to wear Dina's bracelet! Which I have, every day since getting this! The bracelet is great quality. The Ellie statue is HUGE - much bigger than I expected, I guess I can't visualize 12 inches, but it's gorgeous and in prime display. The steel book case and art book are beautiful, and the enamel pins are my favorite. Curbside pickup was a breeze! Can't wait to play the game again!

Very good collector's edition. The metallic case are amazing , the music are phenomenal., art book and all the items inside are very good . The statue is very good detailed. The game its a masterpiece. Thank god i had the experience to play something like the last pf us part 2 . Emotions flows all over all the time living you angry , sad, scared and happy smiling . A game for adults that can appreciate Art in all forms!

Superb game. Great story, characters, gameplay, graphics. Love every minute of this game so far. Not done yet, but have loved what I have played. Naughty Dogs attention to all the details is absolutely amazing. I've never seen water look so great in a game before. Love the Collector's edition, everything it includes is stunning. Looks great on the new limited edition ps4 pro too.

I had been sitting on this game for several months, because I wanted to play it on the PS5, and it was a painful wait! I won't say anything about the game itself, other than I love it. However, it also has its share of criticisms, but you can judge for yourself. This was the first game I've owned that came on 2 discs...it's that huge! The steelbook is very nice quality, and the thank you letter with the lithograph is a nice touch. The art book is just the usual art book that comes with every special edition of a game. The rest of the items are fairly cheap quality. Of course, the best part of this is the Ellie statue. It is absolutely perfect! It has a very large base, so make sure you have enough room if you're going to display it. The quality is amazing, with incredible detail. She has several hairs sticking out that are soft plastic, so be careful! The blood on her neck has a completely different consistency, and looks almost like liquid! If you loved the first game, and are a huge fan of collectables, then you should get this!

Alright, so let's address the elephant in the room. I believe that you should play the game and draw your own conclusions. After playing it myself, I can't say that I like some of the decisions they made and I don't think that I'm going to play this game a second time. However, the game is beautiful and Naughty Dog has done some amazing things with the animation as far as the settings and even facial expressions. They also elevated gameplay with new mechanics. Where the game felt flat for me was the story, but that may be different for you. I don't regret buying the game at all. I think PlayStation gamers should definitely pick this one up as there is more to a game than its story. Now, this Collector's Edition is pretty amazing. This was the last game I was able to get on a discounted price before my Gamer's Club membership expired and at approximately 130USD for me, this was a great deal. The statue of Ellie is pretty nice and detailed and all the extra stuff included are pretty neat. One of the best CE I have purchase in a long time.

The quality of this collectors edition is out of this world! And the statue it comes with is incredible. You get a bunch of cool stuff too. A steelbook, an art book, pins and some pristine packaging. If you love the game, then this is for you!

Unfortunately the twist in the story and the lead character being in a gay relationship has turned some people into rage. I can overlook those things quite easily since the story was well written and very heartwarming while still being very gruesome. The twist in the story line initially turned me off but with the change in game play it actually got more exciting. I feel like this is a game I will remember for a long time after playing it as I did the first one. These type of games only come once in each generation. Playing a game like Days Gone after playing this one was such a letdown and shows how good Naughty Dog are in making in engaging story with exciting game play at the same time. This is a must buy game and the statue and extras in the collector's edition are top quality.

This game is such a beautiful, haunting sequel to the original that captured so many of our hearts. It defied all of my expectations and delivered a product that was fun to play, immersed me in a world that felt completely real, and allowed me to fall in love with characters new and old. It wasn't what I anticipated at all, but I found myself loving the way that Naughty Dog and the entire TLOU team created beauty through pain in the midst of this insane, apocalyptic world. This game captures the essence of good storytelling, props to everyone who worked on it. As far as gameplay goes -- a fantastic challenge, seamless, and makes every other game I've played this year seem 5 years behind its time. Truly next level.

I'm very pleased with this collectors edition!! The statue is nicely designed and other items are so cool! The game itself is amazing, the story graphics and gameplay are simply amazing!!

Lives up to everything from the first and some! I originally played this on my launch PS4 and I couldn’t believe how good it looked on my OLED, excited to try on my PS5. The gameplay is great and the story never stops gripping you! Some nice little open world areas, but to me the linear story driven paths are where everything shines. If you like a quality story and stubby visuals and gameplay this is a must! There is an initial recap of the first game, but I highly recommend playing that one first. Lastly, the collectors edition is awesome! I am always in for the statues and I’m this one is great! Looks awesome on display!

the game itself has good graphics and the gameplay was allright. a fairly geberic story and not much retail value. the goodies the set comes with are great though. the Ellie statue is fairly large and decent quality. the mini art book is cool.

I had preordered this a good bit ago and have been skeptical of how it would turn out with all the delays and reviews prior to release but I can say whole heartedly that this game is fantastic. It’s much more dark and violent than the last game however it still manages to justify it with all that goes on. Graphics are great & game feels very smooth. The statue was pretty detailed and the pins and graphic book were pretty cool too! The AI could use some touch ups because they can be rather rigid in moments but nothing an update in the future can’t fix.

Hands down best Collector’s Edition for the price. The statue is huge! and the detail. Honestly I love Best Buy’s preorders for how fast they ship it to you, however it was a challenge to check the website for availability on said preorder. But when you do secure a copy, man is it awesome. Huge box in pristine condition got to my doorstep around noon on 6/19. I was playing after an hour of popping in the data disc and downloading the bundled extras. I love everything that comes with this CE, and am so far enjoying the game. Thanks Naughty Dog.

No opinions will sway anybody's thoughts on the game, so I guess that is that. The first game is my third favorite game of all-time, so this had very large shoes to fill. Without diving into the story, this game nearly surpasses The Last of Us in all aspects. I will say some parts of the story didn't quite sit right (and nope, not the part(s) you're likely thinking of.) My journey completed three days after first booting up, and I completed a second playthrough ten days after release. The statue that comes with the game is massive.

The statue and all the collectibles are great!! The steelbook is perfect!! And the game is wonderful and perfect story telling!!!
