Got the launch edition, which was a great grab since it came with an art book, the soundtrack, game, and collector's edition box

I was browsing my local Best Buy and found the Launch edition of this game sitting on the shelf. Being a GCU member, I snatched this up immediately and was very glad I did. Atlus makes GREAT games and this is a gem! I'm cant stop playing it and happy to have it in my 3ds collection. If you are looking at this review just buy the game and you wont be sorry!

This I believe will be a collectors piece. Has bonus things that come with launch edition. I have just recently opened it and played only for about 30 minutes. From what I have seen so far it looks great. I did look on Youtube and the gameplay looks amazing. Pick this launch edition up while you still can you will not regret it.

If you're looking for an RPG game that you can easily pick up and play for the game mechanics, this is the game for you. A generally great game, I would not recommend it to those who want their RPGs to have a lot of story and deep character development.

The game is rather interesting as far as gameplay goes, slightly holds your hands for a brief moment in the beginning and then turns you loose without much explanation. Battling system was a little hard to grasp, but overall a very beautiful game.

It's not a bad JRPG but it's also not very good because it really has no story for an JRPG and the battle system is hit or miss which is also a shame from a decent JRPG.

If you're like me, the first few hours of this game will be enjoyable due to the nostalgia factor. Eventually though, you'll realize why games aren't like this anymore. It's fun, but definitely not for everyone.

This game for me was an impulse buy...It looked very similar to Bravely default and I felt I had to get it....it is ok as far as game play goes....but you level up not on experience....but depending on what type of enimies you fight (how powerful they are in comparison to your current level)...it's a beautiful looking game as far as 3ds standard go...would have been great to buy this game at a cheaper price...even with the gamers club discount...believe me you can wait on picking up this title.....

The story is nice, if not a little over complicated and in true ATLUS fashion, somewhat confusing. And long, so long. Luckily only one play through is necessary to get the full story. But if 100% completion is your thing, the please keep in mind that grinding is pretty much required to win. And each character is a new game. That's 7 run through's in all, so be prepared!

This game offers hours of play as you work through your characters story and peal back the mysterious regions of the uncharted island of Avalon. If you enjoy JRPG's with new and innovative approaches to leveling, then you'll enjoy this game.

If you love rpg's, especially chrono trigger and bravely default you should give this game a go. I'm a Best Buy gamers club member so I got this new for 33.00 and it was the launch edition with music cd and art book. Very happy

If you are looking for an easy pick up and play game definitely pass on this. I love JRPGs, especially turn based ones. I'm not entirely against difficult games, but I get frustrated very easily and tend to avoid them. Right off the bat this game is going to get you furious. You definitely have to farm to become stronger to kill the monsters in the next zone (often times in the same zone!). It is similar to the Persona games in terms of difficulty, but probably a bit harder.

Legend of Legacy: Not for Novices

The Legend of Legacy does not want to give the player much information up front, though that aspect adds so much more to the sense of adventure and discovery. The character "classes" are more accurately just different character models/art designs. The game levels characters up based on how they're used. Example: If a character attacks all the time, they will level up the attack stat more. If a character defends more, they will level up the defense stat more, etc. The Legend of Legacy is truly unique. If you like to level, explore, and seek knowledge, as opposed to having someone give all the answers away, this game will be entertaining for quite some time.

The mechanics of Legend of Legacy will likely challenge even the most experienced gamers. Story details are a bit weak, and direction almost non-existent (think adventure game on the NES). Still, some very interesting concepts are attempted in the game, and the art is beautiful. If you are looking for a hard challenge, this may be a good one for you.

If you like your games to hold your hand or if you hated how difficult dark souls/bloodborne was, don't buy. But if you are opposite of this, don't hesitate. Bloodborne should've won GOTY.

This game is great. I was hyped for it the moment it was announced as I love jrpg's. The added incentive of having the collector's edition at no extra cost was also a nice extra to have.
