There have been complaints of this game being too grindy. Not going to bother jrpg fans though. Keep in mind that if you buy it within a short period after launch you get the edition with the music CD for the same price as with all atlus games.

This game has a great art style and feels like something that would be on the Snes

It's a throw back to the old days' traditional turn based JRPGs. Game is fun and the music is good, but the story is nothing serious like Final Fantasy. If you like Bravely Default this game is worth a try if you could pick it up on sale.

The game itself is a great take on classic turn based RPGs. The game can get grindy later and you have to beat the game many times to see the true ending.

This is a pretty typical rpg (think a basic FF) but with a really great look and sound to it (for the 3DS). Nothing going to blow your mind, but great to get your classic rpg fix.

I liked this game, although it's not a game I would easily recommend to anyone. Seems to me more like a tribute to the older RPG games that used to be: with little character development - little interaction between characters- , sometimes little guidance of what to do next, sometimes unforgiving, etc but don't let this turn you off. It has other things to offer: the gameplay is distinctive, the characters are all interesting, the visual design (similar to a pop-up book) and the music are all top notch. There's also a good amount of post-game content (doing walkthroughs with different characters and secret bosses to be fought).

Unfortunately, the game hasn't really kept my interest. There isn't much of a story or sense of purpose. You have the option to select a different character from the beginning, but it doesn't seem to make much difference. You get a summary of who each character is, but once you play, there doesn't appear to be any development or interaction between characters. Although the gameplay is somewhat fun, I won't be playing this much unless there's nothing else.

It's your typical turn based rpg. There is a lot about it that's gorgeous (per usual Atlus), but gameplay is confusing at times.

This game has some of the most beautiful art and set pieces. The music is beautiful and really sets the tone for the story. I really enjoy grinding in RPGs, and this game delivers that. If you like grinding, this is for you.
