This is a blockbuster movie that flopped in the theaters. But it is just an entertaining movie. Nobody is planning on winning an Oscar with it. The FX are great, and the action scenes are very cool. Although sometimes it feels like instead of Tarzan, you are watching the jungle book, because this Tarzan can communicate with a lot of animals. Overall, for six bucks, this was a lot of fun and a great deal.

Although the colors could have been brighter (a lot of green and blue), this is the legend of Tarzan indeed! It defies credibility, but we're talking about a legend here! Alexander portrays a credible Tarzan and Margot is not just another damsel in distress. Sarsgards months of working out and eating his share of protein have paid of. Like other reviews said, it is the slowest striptease in history!

I enjoyed this new Tarzan story. I found it to be entertaining and well done. Having said that, I have only watched the standard Bluray and not the 4K bluray as of yet. I am still in the process of buying a 4K player. The player I want is the Oppo 203. The bluray has excellent picture quality as well as a superb soundtrack with good rear effects. Can't wait to watch it in 4K when I am able.

I loved the realism in this story--particularly the interaction with the native people. Also loved the interaction with the Ape family that he grew up in--the mother figure and the sibling rivalry. The love for his mate and their desire to have their own child gave viewers even more to relate to--even the children. Although there was some violence I wouldn't recommend for small children. Overall it was Great!

I was surprised this movie was really good I wasn't expecting much, the acting was good, storyline on point. The 3D effects hardly any besides the regular depth. If I knew that before would have chosen the 4K instead. Definitely good movie to have in collection.

My wife really wanted to watch this movie, I was hesitant at first because the reviews were So-So, but I have to say it was done really well. I was really confused at first, and I think the reviews are related to this, but you don't start this movie with Tarzan in the jungle, but once you discover who's who and what's what they do a great job progressing the story and keeping you interested.

There haven't been many live action, modern Tarzan movies in the last few decades (besides the excellent "Greystoke The Legend of Tarzan Lord of the Apes" from 1983) so this is a welcome addition. Good story, tied into real historical events. The gorgeous Margot Robbie plays a very feisty Jane, who barely needs "saving" from her mate. And when is Christoph Waltz not fun to watch as a villain?

The movie itself wasn't bad. I know the general premise of Tarzan but had not watched previews of this one previously. Bought it to have some 4k material and it honestly wasn't much better. The TV it was viewed on was a Samsung SUHD screen with HER. it might just be that is early material but if it's drastically cheaper and you want the movie just buy the regular bluray

This is a great Tarzan movie. I love the character and have read all the books, and this movie portrays the character perfectly down to the scar on his forehead. The story takes its time getting going but when the action starts it really goes. Some of the effects were off, but it portrays Tarzan's moving through the trees really well and the movie really is a good time.

Review for Movie: My wife & I felt this was a good rendition of Tarzan, although a bit predictable at times. Scenery, special effects, costumes and most of the acting were good. 3D effects were also decent. As for the Blu-ray/3D/Movie Disc: This version was well done, for a good price. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes the Tarzan story, as it is quite entertaining.

In the beginning, parts moved rather slowly; however, as the movie progressed the action picked up. The effects through out the movie were really quite good. The 3D is worth the extra. If you keep telling yourself that this is a Tarzan after being "domesticated and civilized" it will help the transition into what the movie is really about, the return to "normal".

What a great movie. The cinematography is first class. The sound was "out of the box"! I would refer this movie to all my Afro-American friends. It certainly to me was more progressive towards Africa. And wow the scenes with Tarzan inter-acting with the animals was short of astonishing! Although there were a lot of violent scenes I would still recommend it for the entire family.

Yes, this is another remake of the famous jungle lord Tarzan. Could of had a better beginning to lead off into the movie, though still came together. The fight between Tarzan and his brother (Ape) was the part I believe everyone was waiting for and could of, yes could of added a little more action to this event. Though over all another great Tarzan episode.

I didn't think I would like it but after getting past the first few minutes it got better. The beginning is slow and not sure where you are in the Tarzan storyline that many grew up knowing but it becomes clear soon and is a nice change in the story line of a continuation of Tarzans life after he is found in the jungle and meets Jane. Good movie.

I otten come to best buy to get movies and associates are always very helpful in helping me locate which movies I am looking for and the same with gift cards. Gift cards and movies are in a variety of places, so associates know all the places to look and help me find what I am looking for to purchase. It is great because multiple locations can lead to frustration.

The Ape Man (Lord Greystoke) is called back to the Jungle to serve as an emissary unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge. Little do they realize what they are about to unleash when they involve the Lord of the Congo and his animal allies. Great action sequences that will cause you to look differently from now on when you visit a zoo.

This movie really took me by surprise. It was nothing like I expected. Everyone pretty much knows the storyline of Tarzan which is why I did not expect much from this file. After reading the reviews, I was convinced to give it a shot. There was lots of action from start to finish. I watched this movie about 3 times inside of a week. Well worth the time and money.

Wonderful new twist to the Tarzan legacy with commited performances by Alexandar Skarsgard and Margo Robbie. The story is an adventure, a love story, an animal adventure with political intrigue and based on true accounts of challenges in the Congo in the late 1890's. Samuel Jackson adds great comedy release. Beautifully filmed with great CG. Highly reccommend!

Tarzan may be Lord of The Jungle but the CG artists are lords and ladies of this movie. There were no live animals, only CG ones. Also no actor went to Africa. The set was built in London where the film was shot. It's a wild epic adventure with a very believable Tarzan who does not act superior to the animals and natives but as an equal and friend to them.

Wow, I waited anxiously to own this movie and add it to my collection. It is a well filmed movie, acting is great and the scenery is stunning. The animation is simply realistic and life-like. The theme is riveting and keeps you involved and on edge. This is the type of movie that one watches and enjoys several times, so do enjoy it as much as I did and do!
