Overall, an enjoyable 'take' on the Tarzan story. The CGI and landscape visuals were stunning. The plot was pretty good but the action, at the end of the movie, struck me as pretty much unbelievable. Anyway, Christoph Waltz was outstanding as the 'villain' and Samuel L Jackson was pretty humorous in his role. I am glad that I watched it.

This is a great version of everyone's childhood hero as he battles evil and greed in the jungles of Africa. Stunning visuals, a great story with fine acting makes for a great watch. Highly recoomend.

I have the original movie "Greystoke the Legend of Tarzan Lord of the Apes" starring Christopher Lambert and when I heard they were doing a remake (sort of) I was a bit skeptical, but I have to say they did a fantastic job. It isn't really a remake - more of a 'different take' on the story and I thought it was very well done. Highly recommend it!

This was a good movie, much different from other past Tarzan movie.

I have been watching Tarzan movies since I was a kid, so I was excited to see a new, live version coming out. I really liked this version because it started after he came out of the jungle, but still gave you the background story in the form of flashbacks. I also LOVED that they made Jane a strong female character and not some damsel in distress.

This movie starring Alexander Skarsgard is top rate. The special effects are impressive and has a great story much in line with the original Tarzan book by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Alexander Skarsgard was perfectly cast for his talent of acting and sexy looks that make women faint. Supporting cast is great. A movie to be watched over and over again.

I didn't expect much of anything watching this flick. I like it for the 3D, it's decent for that -- but I'm also one of those people that actually enjoys 3D (even at home). The movie had some interesting parts, but if you're expecting some massively dramatic, award-winning masterpiece, you're probably barking up the wrong tree.

I grew up with the Tarzan story and it's long been one of my favorites. This movie brings it to life with such majesty. I've watched it 5 times in 5 days - can't get enough - from the story line, to the characters coming to life, to the beautiful scenery, and finally the special effects ... I will watch it again and again. Highly recommend!

My husband and I enjoyed this movie very much. The special effects were amazing. If you watch the extras, you will see that much of the movie was all computer generated. Without knowing that information, I had no idea that so much was CG. Aside from that, the movie itself was also well done in terms of the story and the acting.

not the best not the worst movie of the year. i believe is worth pretty entertaining, pretty straight forward. if you are expecting somehitng like the disney live action movies then don't watch it, is a version about what happens to Tarzan's life after the disney movie. the visuals are ok and everything else felt solid to me.

I really couldn't believe I liked this movie so much! How could anyone take Tarzan seriously? Ummm, you will! The movie itself was beautiful and had enough action to keep my husband and boys interested enough to put up with the epic love story that came along with it! And the actor that played Tarzan freaking nailed it. Must watch!!!!

This movies looks great in UHD. the animals look almost as if they are in the room. All the nature scenes are magnificent. I greatly enjoyed the movie for the visuals. the Story is a good spin of the old one, but it would have been great if they added an extra 15-20 mins and developed some parts of the plot a bit more.

The movie was great and I am old enough to have seen all of the old black and white Tarzan movies. It was exciting, and I really like how they wove the history of Tarzan and Jane's beginning into the movie. It does have violence but I would let my 13 year old see it. Too scary and violent for younger children, in my opinion.

I think that "The Legend Of Tarzan" was one of the greatest classic new films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite new films of all-time. I also think that this film had a lot of entertaining and enjoyable action, drama, mystery and suspense including a really great and amazing cast, plot and personal storylines as well.

I loved every minute of this movie. Tarzan was just smoke n gorgeous- Story line was on point - Sam Jackson. He's like "in everything" luv him as well. Leading lady - uhhh - perfect. All those points aside- the amazing interaction with the animals was so well done! Bravo! I own this movie and is a go to on any occasion.

I watched this with my wife, not being a Tarzan fan myself, and actually enjoyed watching this. The action was good, well paced, didn't dive to much into retelling the story of Tarzan. Alot of remakes seem to spend half the movie just doing an origin retell, and it was nice that there was an actual story to this.

I saw this movie on HBO and thought it would be a great movie to own. It is a good movie that I can watch again in my leisure time and not get bored. I have looked up on the web the time period this movie was set in and some of the characters are real life of that period. It was an interesting movie.

I thought movie was alright. Not a movie I would watch over and over. Truth be told I just brought as reference material so that I could see what my OLED tv could do and boy was I impressive. It has great cinematography, graphics, the visual effects were stunning, and made everything seem so life-like feel.

This was a very well produced, directed, and acted movie. I don't buy too many movies I see, but this one definitely got bought. The animals were incredibly generated, creating a masterpiece, in my opinion. This movie along with the most recent live "Jungle Book" are two of the most enjoyable movies of 2016.
