I didn't expect much from this movie as it seems this is a decade for failed remakes. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised by this version of Tarzan, which did not stray from the initial concept but added significantly to it. This was an outstanding movie that maintained your interest and enthusiasm throughout the movie!

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie since I didn't see it in the theatres. The 4K version has some awesome graphics. I felt the storyline was innovation. Christoph Waltz plays a great villain as he did in the Inglorious Bas... Margot Robbie is gorgeous and a strong female character--no damsel in distress.

I wanted to see this at the theater but it didn't work out. I knew i would buy it as soon as it came out of DVD and I did. Love it and loved the price at Best Buy. It was the best Tarzan ever and i loved the actors portraying the characters I grew up reading about. The best representation of Edgar Rice Burroughs Tarzan.

An exciting version of Tarzan and Jane. The story was excellent and thrilling, especially the battle at the end. The cinematography of this movie is exquisite. Blu ray quality came through well. Just wonder how it is different from the UHD version? Audio was also very well done. A must for a collection...

I have been a fan of Tarzan since reading the original book in Jr. High School. There has been many actors portraying the Ape Man over the years. The actor in this movie did a good job in his representation of Tarzan. All in all a good movie but still waiting to see something closer to the original Tarzan.

I was seriously thinking of renting this movie before buying it but I figured, what the heck, it's on sale and I am a fan of the animated movie. So you can only begin to imagine how surprised I was on what a great movie it is. It exceeded my expectation. I even had my mother watch the movie in Spanish and she loved it.

This was a ok movie. But someone who grew up watching the original TV shows. Just does not hit the nail on the head for the Tarzan story. It is a good movie as far as action. And would recommend this to friends and family just because it is action pack and does keep you on the edge of your chair.

The movie takes place at after Tarzan has gone back to England to be Lord Greystoke. Returning to Africa with Jane, Tarzan's origin story is shown through some flashbacks while laying the groundwork for the new adventure. The movie was entertaining and the bonus features were a nice addition.

I was pleasantly surprised how this movie was able to bring back such an old franchise with a new spin and style. Tarzan definitely has a solid story line followed by great CGI and acting. I would highly recommend watching this movie to anyone that loves great action/drama movies. I really hope they make a sequel!

This movie is an interesting take on Tarzan. Plot summery: It is set after he has found Jane and moved to England. He goes back to Africa as a royal ambassador (cuz he's english royalty) with some coxing from Samuel L Jackson. Tarzan meets with some friends and has to rescue some other friends while he is there.

Slightly slow pace in the beginning but eventually pick it up in the middle of the movie. It is more about Tarzan's life after he left the jungle with Jane and returned to protect it. It is not quite I expected it but it just portrait another perspective of Tarzan's journey. Overall, it is fine movie.

After being away from the jungle, living in England, Lord Greystoke is needed back to where he was raised to save the day once again, but first Tarzan has to reestablish his alpha status in order to bring the forces of nature together to fight the evil forces of man's greed and ambition. Great action adventure!!

This was a movie about living in the Congo. However the whole thing was filmed in England. It was pretty amazing how they did it. The second DVD explained the whole process. It was a very different Tarzan film. There aren't many really good movies these days but this one was a good one.

This is a great take on a classic story. I think Alexander does a great job since most of the people that know this actor associate him with Eric from True Blood. It has nice effects and is a very enjoyable movie for the whole family.

I already had purchased an on-line copy of Tarzan, but bought the 4K version to see what 4K was like - amazing clarity - still some glitches with 4K, but a step up from blu-ray - I will be purchasing future favorites in 4K if the scenery is worthy, otherwise I will stay with blu-ray to save a few dollars

The director took a new approach to this old story. Using flash backs throughout the movie we see the back story of Tarzan while moving the plot forward. And, Christopher Waltz is a fantastic villain. No loin cloth for Tarzan but Alexander Skarsgard is good to look at no matter what he is wearing.

I have followed Tarzan for at least sixty years. Of all the movies, this is The Best! This portrayal captures a deep sense of nuance displayed through Tarzan/John's character.

I really enjoyed this take on the story. After watching this movie and requested my daughter purchase the original book for me for Christmas. It was interesting to see how each movie (or TV series) takes parts from the original and makes it into a new Tarzan. But this one was very good to me.

I'm sure there were very high hopes from the people form Warner Bros for this film, but even the lovely Margot Robbie and Alexander Skarsgard's impeccable body can't save this film. As this is a Warner release the Digital Copy code is ONLY for UltraViolet so keep that in mind before purchasing.

I think this movie is great. It has a different spin on the tale other than the original disney cartoon, and it's a great story line. One of the things that got me was the scenery shots and the scenes with the animals. I've always had a soft spot for Africa, so this movie definitely sat right with me.
