first I have a Wii U and I debated getting this for my Wii U or getting a Switch. After reading many reviews and talking with some friends who had a switch; I purchased the game with a Switch. I am glad to say totally pleased with my purchase, this is a great game with the true zelda perks everyone who has ever played any zelda game would love. The background scenes and visuals are great, it has a smooth response to the controllers, open sandbox-like environment one game to get

Possibly best launch title ever. Great Story. Large world. Tons of things to dp and explore. You will not be bored that is for sure.Interestingly, everyone who tried this game on my switch when I got it loved the game and would not stop playing. They all apparently found the game to be very easily accessible and less intimidating than many other open world games. Definitely would recommend.

It has taken me a long time to play through this game, however, it is possibly the greatest Zelda game to date. Open world gameplay and you can choose your own path, so much to see, it is amazing. I would say the one flaw is that weapons and shields break too easily and it is very frustrating when you are in a battle and a weapon breaks. Otherwise, I can't recommend this game enough.

The game has the feel of multiple different Zelda games. It has the open path appeal of the first Zelda and gameplay is very smooth. Once you get further and have upgraded your items it does feel easier than the initial part of the game, but not enough to ruin the gameplay. I would recommend this for any adventure game fan or a fan of the series. This game was worth buying the switch.

So if your like me you have been playing sandbox games for a while, but getting tired of the standard maps with the same things again and again, regurgitated quests, etc.
This is on a whole new level, a massive map, every area has something new, a change up on the standard quests, tons of mechanics, crazy skill levels but playable by all. Definitely one of the best games of the last decade of not the best

Breath of the Wild is very nearly a perfect game. It's beautiful, ridiculously fun, and wide open to experimentation and exploration. Honestly my own gripes with the game are the weapon durability (annoying but livable), and the limitations of the Switch hardware (it's a shame you can blow it up to full 4K). But those are minor issues when measured against all the good the game offers. If you have a Switch, you have to buy this.

Seriously - if you've not heard of this game it is the best. Skyrim is a very VERY close second but this one still has me going strong. 242 hours in Skyrim and I felt I've done\seen everything I could or wanted to. This game, 400+ hours and even finished off the main story line and I've gone back to start the Master Mode and am loving it just as much as the first time. And the Master Mode DLC mode play through has shown me stuff I missed the first time! A marvel of beauty!

One of the greatest games I’ve ever played. So much replayability with something new to learn about the game at every corner. An instant classic, and even though it didn’t need one, this is a “breath” of fresh air in the Zelda series. Any way you slice it, this is THE must-have game for Nintendo Switch. I cannot wait to play the upcoming sequel!

Already a billion reviews out there stating how great this game is. I'll be really shocked if it doesn't win GOTY and if it doesn't it will mostly be because it released so early this year.
Solid game play, beautiful art, lots of features and things to do. If I was going to put any negative, I would say I wish there was more voice acting. I realize Zelda games aren't really known for that, but it wouldn't hurt them to grow a bit in that department. Otherwise, an very excellent game!

This game is everything the original wanted to be.
Everywhere you can see, you can go, and chances are there's something there that wants to eat you and has loot. The game is a master at making even the most inconsequential of actions feel important.
My only real complain is that weapons, more specifically metal ones break too fast. I understand it's to get you to use a variety of weapons, but when a soldiers sword lasts only 5 more battles then a wooden club, somethings wrong.
