While the film is/was an 80's vampire classic, it still is enjoyable to watch present day. This Blu Ray version is an improvement over the up-converted DVD release. Though some close-ups looked smeary or painted with no pores or lines on faces. Black levels are very good and audio is better than it had ever sounded on any previous release of the film which includes a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround presentation. Extras are carried over from the DVD but unfortunately are not in HD. For fans of the film, this present Blu Ray is the way to go.

Director Joel Schumacher and producer Richard Donner delivered a great twist on the modern vampire tale with this film featuring two brothers who must face Kiefer Sutherland and a group of vampires. The film is definitely something out of the 1980s, but the fact that it embraces the decade is one of the things that makes it oddly timeless. The action and the effects are also pretty solid as is Schumacher’s direction. Great fun!

I love this movie, Lost Boys is one of my children and I family night favorites. We love Silver Bullet as well. The dvd plays well and great picture quality.

I only became aware of this movie a few years ago, watched it and loved it. It’s now on my must have cult films. Particularly in the “goth” category, along with The Crow, The Craft, Beetlejuice and The Addams Family.

The movie is a classic. The Blu-ray is pretty excellent. Lots of great extra features and commentary too.

This was more like a classic old fashion in 80s; In film - look good on blu-ray in basis, and added some special features in there. For that plastic case is okay {3 stars).

This blue ray is the most complete edition I have seen. The special features were nice.
