I thought it was a good twist on the original movie, just don't like all the cussing. Don't think it was necessary. Would not have bought if i had know there was so much cussing.

This is one of those rare times when the remake is better than the original. If you're dying to see Yul Brynner in a good Western, see Westworld instead.

I bought the Magnificent Seven looking forward to the version with Yul Brenner and others. We put it in our DVR and watched it for almost an hour. At that point it stopped, pixelated, restarted, and stopped again. I returned it to the store for a different copy. When we put the latest copy in the DVR, nothing happened. It flat out didn't play.

This great western remake of Akira Kurosawa's film The Seven Samurai should be required viewing for western lovers. The title characters (Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, James Coburn, Robert Vaughn, Charles Bronson, Brad Dexter, & Horst Buchholz) are recruited by villagers to fight a bandit (Eli Wallach) who has been terrorizing them.
The classic Elmer Bernstein music is the icing on the cake.
Without this film, we'd have never seen The Right Stuff, Three Amigos!, or even Monsters, Inc.

Good clean movie of a Japanese themed saga, it still revolves around the farmers who keep everyone alive.

Best Western since Eastwood's Unforgiven. Red Harvest character wasn't as enjoyable as the rest.
