I have watched the original movie, "The Magnificant Seven" several times since released in the movie theater. This is a classic western with popular actors from that time period with Yul Brynner leading the cast. Lot's of shoot-em-up action as well as some insights of the main characters.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this movie on the shelf at Best Buy. I recently bought the new version and thought of getting the original version someday. I immediately purchased it and enjoyed every minute of it. Great find and the staff at Best Buy was excellent as always.

I had not seen this movie since I was a lot younger. I enjoyed it then and now that I am older I could appreciate it better. Also, they were doing a remake of this film so i wanted to re-watch the original before seeing the new one. I am a fan of westerns and this movie in particular.

The Magnificent Seven is among the greatest westerns ever made! Released in 1960, this movie boasts some superstar greats like Yul Brenner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, James Coburn, Robert Vaughn and my favorite Eli Wallach! Only 4 dollars, do yourself a favor and buy it!

A classic western with a cool plot. I like westerns and adding this one to my collection at such a low price point was a no brainer. I always browse the movie bargain bins when in Best Buy. If you've never seen it, you've lost out.

The re-make with Denzel Washington et al is terrific and up-to-date ... (and I usually don't like re-makes of classics ... didn't watch Spartacus or Ben-Hur) ... but for aficionados, nothing will replace the original of "The Magnificent Seven" ... based on Akiro Kurosawa's classic ...

After watching the new version of Mag. 7....just had to get this 50th anniversary classic original edition as the storyline was different back then.... I enjoyed it very much....but feel that some of this era may not. None the less...if U collect Classics (?) I'd say go 4 it!

I saw the movie years ago and decided the DVD would be a good addition to my limited collection. Haven't watched it yet but I'm looking forward to rediscovering the magic of this classic western with its marvelous cast.

You need to see this original. Nice transfer with some interesting acting. Watch for Steve McQueen to try and upstage Yul Brynner in almost every scene that they are together. It's well known that Brynner was really mad about it. Good story. The new remake, 2016, has similar elements, but is not the same. This original is well worth while. The sequels that followed were pretty bad.

Love theses old movies! This is a great classic western. Haven't seen the remake so I can't compare, but I can't imagine it being better than the original. This is something my teenagers could watch and not have to worry about it being inappropriate. Great movie!

This cast is the best. King of the westerns! Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, James Coburn, Robert Vaughn, Charles Bronson, Brad Dexter, and Horst Buckholz are the kind of team that Expendables, Avengers, and pretty much every other team film should aspire to be!

I first saw this on the big screen many years ago, and it is just as good watching a second time as it was the first. Amazing gun battles, great actors, and a plot that has all of the tension, bravery and courage as the original (The Seven Samurai).

I am a fan of trying to watch older versions before the new ones and this movie flat delievered. Another great western film that captured the look and feel of the time period. Its great to look back and see the younger movie starts. Truly is a great movie.

Having watched this on an old DVD, it had begun to be boring, but on blu ray, it was watching it for the first time with great sound and the visuals. You notice more the performance of soon to be legendary actors like McQueen, Charles Bronson, James Coburn, and Eli Wallach. And I paid attention to the message for the first time: the gunfighters always lose in the end. Good stuff.

Had not seen this movie for several yrs. the actors Steve McQueen , Yule Brenner make the movie action suspenseful . Western theme movie one of the best. All the actors were famous in there chosen roles. WeE are looking forward to seeing the new movie !

Thought I would re-watch the original before checking out the re-make. Glad I did as I forgot how good this one really is. Although the re-make is different in a good way, this version is still an unmatched classic western in its way. Highly recommend.

The original Magnificent Seven movie; how can you go wrong! Glad I happened upon on for that price! Glad to have it in my collection now as I am not sure I can watch or own the remake - the original is just so good with so many famous actors!

The Magnificent Seven is a movie I had seen on TV several times, but I didn't own it. To walk in and see the special edition at the price Best Buy had it made me add it to my collection without a thought! A great deal on a great movie!

I love thsee types of movies. A town of innocent poor people that stand up to bullying bandits. You have heard the story a thousand times but this is the original. What's the lineup of great actors and a great plot you can't go wrong.
