Purchased this when we needed some movies to keep occupied. This one is entertaining and not super schlocky like some westerns. Great for movie nights in since going to the movies isn’t safe these days.

This is not your like typical western from the 60s and 70s. The theme, while based on a western, is comedy based.and I found it very entertaining. The characters are easy to follow as the story line. This is a great flick to gather the family around on any Saturday night.

I'm not usually one to really like western type movies; however, this movie was Pretty Awesome!!! In a word...DENZEL!!!!!!! The action was good, there were a few laughs to be had and the overall storyline was awesome!!! So glad to have added this one to my collection!

I was unsure about this movie being a remake. But I rented it on Redbox first, then I fell in love with the movie. It was on bluray and then I watched it in 4K, and it is even better. A star actors doing their best. The storyline was spot on. Great action but sad ending.

Danzel Washington is one of my favorite actors and he doesn't disappoint in this movie. The story is similar to the original, i.e., a group of good guys protect a town from a a much larger group of bad guys. This version has some humor mixed in with the good acting. If you like westerns, you'll be pleased with this movie.

This is a great western especially for fans of the genre. Denzel is good. But it's the supporting cast that propels this film. The casting was spot on, the characters unforgettable & enough action that make old heads like my Pops state, "got me a good ok shoot me up here!

I have never seen the original "Magnificent Seven," so I wasn't sure what to expect from this one. I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed it and am glad I purchased it. It was funny and action-packed, yet it also knew how to tug at the heartstrings. I highly recommend it.

This movie can't get enough stars from me if it wanted to. I'm not a fan of westerns, but I am a fan of excellent acting, superb writing, and amazing directing. This movie checks all the marks for it to be one of my surprise favorites of 2017. Must watch, and must own.

I have been a fan of well made westerns for most of my life. I have seen the original Magnificent Seven movie too many times to count. I have to say that this remake was very well done and was truly entertaining, making it a must buy for those "hard core" western fans.

This new "Magnificent 7", while not as great as the original, still delivers with fine performances and a story that doesn't copy the 1960 film, but introduces a somewhat new take on the seven mercenaries who find redemption and themselves in a good cause. Lots of action right to the end.

Well all you gotta do is look at the cast and you know its gonna be good. Plot was nice and has a few jaunts that keep it from being linear with what is expected. Clever well timed humor makes all the difference. "I believe that bear was wearing peoples clothes."

A truly outstanding western for those who love action and pathos. On 4k, the beauty equals the quality of the story. Full 5 stars.

Maybe it's because I'm in between generations, but I have a huge appreciation for the classic movie era and love my oldies, but this is one of the few times I actually prefer the remake over the original. The cast did a wonderful job and brought a lighthearted, nicely updated take on this action western.

Nice movie to throw on for a movie night, easy to watch and something for everyone to enjoy, plus in 4k with atmos the experience is pretty immersive. That being said while the movie is a solid watch I didn't really feel it was anything really special. People should give Seven Samurai (the original) a go...

This movie looks very good in UHD with HDR. The story, cast & scenery kept me entertained from beginning to end. Recommended. Also if you're into collecting digital UHD copies, The digital HD copy that comes with this package redeems for a UHD & HDX copy on vudu.

Remakes are always a gamble, but Fuqua's Magnificent Seven hits all the right notes thanks largely to its talented cast, and its tendency to tell its own story just as much as the original's. The gunfights are a feasts for the senses, closing on one wicked maelstrom of a final battle with the villain and his army.

Overall, this is a slick looking western with fantastic direction, wonderful cinematography, and some pretty amazing action set pieces. The Magnificent Seven will not be an Oscar contender, but the score may have a shot. It was very well done with some great nods to the classic theme. Pure Hollywood entertainment!

This movie is as good if not better than the original. The actors are easier to embrace, the plot is updated a bit and at the end of the movie you feel like you've gotten your money's worth. It is also a movie that can be watched multiple times with enjoyment.

This movie was interesting. It has a lot of big names in Hollywood, and that doesn't always help a movie become better. I was really excited to watch this movie, and I don't want to call it disappointing... it was just not what I was expecting. Check it out!

I love a good cowboy flick, all though this is a remake it struck me as different. The good guys fought some died, but good prevailed . The cinematic were good & the sound guns, canons & a gatling gun awesome. A lot of violence not recommended for children.
